    1. Containing a good scholarly-yet-basic overview of LDS Church History, the best part of this book is of course the beautiful photography of George Edward Anderson. While his photographs have been frequently published, nowhere are they published as beautifully, or in as complete a collection, as here. I thoroughly enjoyed poring over these glimpses of the past.

    2. Although I have been to most of the sites photographed in this book it was fascinating to see them from a different historical perspective. I also really enjoyed the information presented about the photographs and how they were shot.
