    1. Emotional involvement, be it for a personal decision or a professional one, can be very risky. Chad found out about the personal consequences - loneliness - when he decided not to call Jeff, the boy he first kissed at summer camp. When Jeff turns up in Chad’s ER years later, Chad faces a professional dilemma that, were it not for his past with Jeff, would be nonexistent. Given Chad’s reaction to seeing Jeff again, a man he never forgot and clearly still has feelings for, I can see why he doe [...]

    2. This was a nice, short story that worked well enough. It's more of a 3.5 star read rounded up. I liked the story, and some of the scenes were very sweet, especially towards the end. I could have given it more but it would have needed another 50 or so pages or to give a bit more on their past. It's a sort of typical thing with two lovers reconnecting after years apart. But, it didn't show us much of their past, so I can't say if they were sweet or anything back then. Of course there was a big of a [...]

    3. This is a story about the one who got away. Actually, the correct phrasing would be the one who ran away.Jeff and Chad meet at summer camp when they are both in their teens. A quick, secret relationship develops and they both fall hard as teens are prone to do. They are each other's firsts in every sense of the word. On the last day of camp, Chad makes promises to Jeff promises that he doesn't keep. Jeff's young heart gets broken and he vows, as a teenager, never to allow someone to hurt him lik [...]

    4. Ten years ago Chad broke Jeff's heart by leaving and never gave Jeff a call he promised; even after they spent such lovely nights together. Then, fate plays its part where Jeff is brought to the E.R. where Chad works, his life hanging on a thread. Chad realizes he still has feeling for Jeff so he makes a promise this time to stay with Jeff and makes things right. But when Jeff wakes up from a coma, will he able to forgive Chad and embraces their future?I love story about "reunion", "reconciliat [...]

    5. A beautiful sweet story that I just re-read it after I finished it the first time. I'm sucker for 'first love never die'-type story and this novella is just that. What I particularly like from this story is that Jeff doesn't accept Chad right away. They didn't hit the sack the minute they were reunited. Instead, they talked about what happened, and Chad gave Jeff time to think whether to accept his apology or not.

    6. Not great but not bad either. Jeff isn't even awake for a large portion of the book so we get to know Chad pretty well. Formerly of the a-hole club but now making amends. Both of their existences are fairly bleak and super lonely so I did enjoy the "found my lost love" aspect of the book. Sweet read.

    7. Almost everyone remembers their last summer camp, a time for making special friends and discovering things about yourself. Dr. Chad Wright and Jeff Stone met at summer camp and fell instantly in love. They made promises to each other. Everyone makes promises to keep in touch and not forget. Jeff believed the promises Chad made when they were teens. Unfortunately, the next time they see each other, it’s ten years later and Jeff is unconscious on a gurney in an emergency room with Chad looking d [...]

    8. 3.5 StarsChad is a Dr. in emergency in New Orleans a year after Katrina. A young man comes in badly beaten when Chad realizes it's his first love from summer camp. He had promised Jeff he'd keep in touch but fear of coming out and his family's pressures meant he never did. Jeff nearly dies and Chad feels responsible for him and all the old feelings come back. He steps in and clears out Jeff's apartment, takes custody of his cat and tells hospital staff they are partners so he can get medical inf [...]

    9. This story was a little sad in the beginning when it appeared that Jeff would not survive his brutal assault. Chad hadn't seen Jeff for over 10 years, but he didn't want the only man he'd ever loved to die with no one by his side. While waiting to see if and when Jeff would regain consciousness, Chad was filled with regret for breaking Jeff's heart but was also determined to make it up to him any way he could. The little things Chad did like taking care of Jeff's cat and sitting by his hospital [...]

    10. After Chad and Jeff fall in love at summer camp they don't see each other for ten years. Jeff is badly beaten and almost dies. Chad is the ER doctor and remembered Jeff instantly. They have a sweet HEA which includes Murray, Jeff's cat! Really enjoyable story, just slightly put of by Jeff's endearment in the final paragraph It came from nowhere? 4.5*

    11. Nice story about 2 guys being reunited after many years. Did have a few moments where I had to push the "I believe" button (being able to take care of medical and personal things with no proof he was allowed to) but I liked the pace and story.

    12. 3.5 starsI like it. First half of the book was fantastic. But from the moment Jeff awakened from coma, I felt like the book lost a little of it's potencial. And it was a bit rushed. I couldn't quite believe Jeff forgive Chad so easy.

    13. Doctors will throw up their hands over the ethics presented in this book. When you can suspend belief over that, it turns out to be a really heart warming story.

    14. This story is great and very touching. I love love loved reading this one as I do all of Lynn's books she writes. Another top notch winner for this author.

    15. Very sweet (occasionally a bit too) m/m romance about a doctor who recognizes a nearly dead man in the ER as his first love from ten years ago.

    16. Read as part of my QGB Q3 Challenge picked by Katie (LadieKatie). Sweet short read. First love lost then found again. All in all, a good read.
