    1. Started great, but slowed to a point I started to lose interest. Skimmed the last half, ending a bit predictable. I loved the concept of a shapeshifter dragon in Nashville, but it read more like a rom suspence and not a PNR. Likable characters, some nice heated love scenes, but otherwise just OK.

    2. Noah may be a dragon but he has lived as a human for the last 2,500 years since he changed form for a woman he loved. Now he lives for his music and for his treasures but his heart has never quite recovered from the reaction his first love had when she discovered what he was. He thought his identity was a well kept secret but it appears that someone has figured out what he is and they are prepared to go to any length to find a way to use him to gain immortal life. Lila is a strong woman and a ma [...]

    3. Dragon Blues sucks you in and never lets you go. The combination of a dragon-turned-man who uses music to fill the loneliness of his soul, with the woman who despite her past refuses to withdraw from life, is combustible. Dragon Blues explores the issues of loneliness, hurt and redemption against a backdrop of greedy and desperation. If you like action, a beautifully drawn love story and excellent writing, this book is for you.

    4. I agree with a few of the other reviewers that the pacing was a bit too slow. Still, this was an interesting read and I liked that it wasn't a flat out paranormal, but simply featured a character who just happened to be a dragon. Pick it up if you're looking for something a little out of the ordinary.

    5. I liked this book a lot. I liked that the heroine does a lot of her own ass-kicking and doesn't jsut wait for the hero to rescue her.

    6. When I first started, Dragon Blues, I didn't know what to expect. It was recommended to me in a newsletter for my Kindle. So I usually go for books that I know are part of a series but this premise just called out to me. It was interesting to see how it would play out a dragon in human form, falling in love with a woman. The allusion to (view spoiler)[Beauty and the Beast (hide spoiler)] was an interesting twist. The antagonists where a little too run of the mill, which made this book less of a [...]

    7. I love dragon shifters and I loved the blues playing dragon shifting leading man, so I liked Dragon Blues for the most part -t here were a couple oddities that knocked my enjoyment down just a notch though. I thought that the way that the heroine initiates the first couple love scenes was weird - their first encounter is initially more like a take down and take what you need by the heroine but morphs when the hero lets loose. And while I thought the heroine was interesting (she's amazon-like and [...]

    8. Noah Long turned human for love, a love that was betrayed. Now 2500 years later, the reincarnated woman he'd loved has returned and she's brought trouble with her. His normal instinct is to take his treasures and run, but one thing makes him stay. Lila Fox has spent her life being strong but it wasn't enough to save her mother or sister. But it was enough to avenge her mother's death and hopefully punish her sister's murderer as well. Unfortunately, she's going to need help, not something she's [...]

    9. From Lilac Wolf and StuffNoah, a dragon who had been alive for at least 2,000 years, is wise. He knows that he can get more accomplished by keeping his cool. Lila has a fiery temper, but even so is more than capable of taking care of herself.Noah is in love, but knows that Lila is broken by her past. Yet he has all the patience in the world to wait for her. Lila is afraid to love, to be dependent on another person, especially a man.I adored Noah and Lila in this story. Their personalities weren' [...]

    10. 3.5 This was an interesting romance. I liked the MC Noah, he was a well fleshed out character. Lila on the other hand, sometimes I felt that she was sometimes too much of a stereotype. By the end of the book I felt she become a more rounded character and was very kick ass.The story moves very quickly and there are no surprises just the expectation of when does the bad guy get his butt kicked or in this case because of a dragon, fried.A very nice read, and I hope this author either comes back to [...]

    11. I simply love the way Ramer writes and the heart she brings to her stories. The beautifully crafted characters, the musical connections and the thought-provoking themes, such as those of redemption, rebirth and change, make this story memorable and hard to put down. Another wonderful read by this talented author!

    12. Sexy dragon, strong yet likeable heroine - this book was so well written that as I read, I just kept thinking, "I'm SO glad Edie sent this into the world." The characters are well drawn and touching, the action exciting - I highly recommend it.

    13. An entertaining read. Loved the dragon shapeshifter aspect of the novel. Weak ending, super rushed, left me wanting much more.

    14. Dragon Blues was a surprising paranormal read. Just when you think you've read everything there is to read in a genre, a book will come along that surprises you. Dark and sweet at the same time, Dragon Blues works in a variety of paranormal and plotting elements to come up with something unique, and unique in a world as saturated as PNR is definitely a good thing. The story here begins with an interesting series of events that, except for coincidence, would have been unrelated. When a pair of dru [...]

    15. Dragons Do It Hotter! In Edie Ramer’s novel Dragon Blues dragon, Noah Long, has lived as human for over 1000 years. His bluesy, saxophone playing soul was wounded millennium ago by a pretty woman. To his utter shock her reincarnated-self, Izzy Walton, walks into his Nashville shop, Dragon’s Lair, to rob him. When the robbery goes awry, it is another surprise that Izzy comes back to plead for Noah’s help. Her partner in crime is actually her abusive, junky boyfriend and she wants David to he [...]

    16. This is an interesting paranormal romance. I really enjoyed it.Noah Long is an interesting character. He is a dragon, who has shape-shifted into human form to enable him to "fit in" with the human population. He has a deep appreciation of treasures and flashy items, but his greatest passion is music, Blues to be more precise. That is until he meets Lila Fox.Lila Fox is also an interesting character. She is a strong, independent woman, who has not had a wonderful childhood. After (accidentally bu [...]

    18. I’m a HUGE fan of dragon shifters and this was my second time reading this story and I enjoyed it just as much as the first! There’s so much to enjoy within; great characters, a ton of emotion, a hot male/dragon, a kick butt heroin and a sweet and touching romance that will curl your toes. Any paranormal romance reader will love the escape they get with Dragon Blues.Lila is a very strong, independent and dangerous woman that knows how to defend herself in any given situation. Actually, she [...]

    19. My thoughts:I have read reviews of her books and now I finally got a chance to read one of Edie's books, and it did live up to the good things I have heard. In this book we meet Noah who once was a dragon but then turned human to pursue a woman, but he never shifted back to dragon after that. He has lived alone for long, and he only lives for his music and his treasures (cos he is a dragon and he lives the bling). He is strong, but also vulnerable, he is lonely, and saddened by the all the years [...]

    20. Now this story is not short by no measure it comes in at 177 pages but it is a good read - it will go quick!Ms. Ramer did it again; allowing me to escape into a kick ass heroine's life. But the hero is what intrigued me the most A dragon! Oh yea, Ms. Ramer put a spin on the normal every day life; giving us a little more danger and a lot more loving in Dragon Blues. But I will tell you this I want a dragon of my own!Lila is one chick I would always want on my side. She is a strong, capable woman [...]

    21. My full review can be found at my blog : killie-booktalkI actually won this book in a competition and it sounded rather interesting as this was the first paranormal novel I had seen that was about dragons and not vampires, zombies or werewolves. What I discovered was an okay paranormal romance novel with some decent action thrown in. However, in my opinion the fact he was a dragon didn't really feel much different than if he had been a werewolf or any other type of shape shifter but it was style [...]

    22. My second encounter with this author’s work – and this book was better than the first. The basic premise is a former dragon now saxophone player who meets his match in a martial arts instructor with some heavy family issues. Add in some mystery, some fantasy, and pages of sexual encounters that are both steamy and stirring, and the story unfolds in layers before your eyes. The characters are developed in a ‘need to know’ basis, with just enough detail to provide you an outline that allow [...]

    24. Dragon Shifter Noah has changed his form into a human out of love. 25. Edie never ceases to amaze me! Another great book in a new series that I have high hopes for. I'm such a fan of delicious men and Noah definitely belongs on that list! I love Edie's ability to create such strong characters who can be vulnerable and human. Real in every sense. This had a bit of a darker side to it that Edie's previous novels. Consensus? I loved it! Sexy men aside, I loved the story. It rang with bits and pieces of an old fairy tale but with a twist and an ending that isn't all to [...]

    26. I find it difficult to classify this book into one category. There are elements of fantasy, crime drama, mystery, myth, magic, and romance all wrapped up into one compelling, entertaining, and gritty plot. The author does a wonderful job revealing just enough information about her characters to keep you entertained, yet she doesn’t hit you over the head with detailed information about the why’s and how’s of her heroic couple. I personally love how she leaves some things to the reader’s i [...]

    27. Out of all of Ms. Ramer's books, this one has a darker tone to it. Noah is an interesting character, both as a human and a dragon. The fact that both aspects of his personality could be melded into such a great hero is a testament to the author's writing skill. I never imagined I'd enjoy a shapeshifting hero as much as I did Noah. The mystery surrounding how he came to be human and how he's adjusted to the confines of that way of life was equally compelling. I enjoyed the way he and the heroine [...]

    28. Freebies are often that way for a reason, but you can find little gems among them and this is one of them.Well written and at times understated it moved at fluid pace. Sometimes a bit slow, and sometimes a bit repetitive and lingering but very mellow - like the blues that imbues the whole story. Noah was a great hero, bucking the trend of impossibly handsome arrogant, hot-headed assholes. He has a stillness about him that is a great counterpoint for the heroine Lila, who is a hot-head and kills [...]

    29. If you like strong, self-reliant woman and dragons, this is the book for you!The main character is a believably flawed, damaged woman who has learned how to cope and defend herself. The dragon is a "man" who has lived too long (he thinks at first) and just wants to be left alone with his treasures.Fate has other plans that hinge on a totally amoral man who wants the dragon for what he can do for him. He's rich and important, you see, so he deserves whatever he wants.I'm happy to say that everyon [...]

    30. To be honest, I didn't really know what to expect when I opened this on my kindle. I have so many books on there that I've started just picking books at random, not knowing what they're about! I won the book lottery on this one ;) What a great book this was! I love a kick ass heroine who is able to be vulnerable when it's appropriate and an awesome hero who understands that a woman can be just as awesome as he is.If you're looking for a great paranormal read, I highly suggest you give this one a [...]
