    1. This was what I thought-absurd pirate guidelines. Silly, as expected. There was a section about compensation for injuries. “Any pirate who has suffered from pillaging, plundering, hijacking, swashbuckling, or other pirate duties shall receive compensation for the wound from the common stock.” For example, the loss of the right arm grants 800. Written at the end of the list was “Pinky finger: Life be cruel, mate.” There were instructions on how to build a hammock, catch fish, open and eat [...]

    2. This is such a fun little book! It was written before Stranger Tides or Dead Men Tell No Tails so it has no mentions of the events of those movies but does contain a lot about the first three movies. It has typed pages about the Pirate Code and information about ships and sailing and navigating and sword fighting, but "Joshamee Gibbs" has gone through and added his own personal notes and jokes to the text. It's a lot of fun. There are even a few passages that refer to the Rob Kidd series and Pir [...]

    3. A great book for every Pirates of the caribbean fan!It contains a lot of information: both the things you already know from the movies and some things you didn't know too. I really liked the disighn and the style of the book. A lot of effort was put in to make the book look like a scan of the Pirata Codex with additional notes by Gibbs and some lettters, maps or drawings.I liked the way some quotes from the movies were taken in too and I liked the humorous atmosphere of the whole book. But as yo [...]

    4. A cute little companion to the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. I like how they try to pass it off as "found material" that Disney decided to publish. But they give credit where credit is due at the end with the list of all the amazing artists involved. This is a good thing to read if you didn't quite grasp all that went on in the hubbub of the films.

    5. If you are a fan of the pirate movies you should deffinetly read this. it lays out all of the pirate code and is just a fist fun read so go and pick it up and read it :) lol

    6. As one who loves the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, I really enjoyed this book! It's just a fun bit of trivia and info! Now, I know how to keep the pirate's code!! Arrr!
