    1. This is such a cute book! It is a longer picture book that was one of my favorites as a child. I loved it so much, I never got rid of it. It is a story that runs into conflicts that seem to snowball. It ends with the old ladies who like cats (and their cats) saving the day! I love the rhythmic aspect this book adds while reading the story aloud. It is a very fun read!

    2. Asher (4 years old) really enjoyed this story about how things work together. A pleasant little town is overrun by invaders because a Mayor makes a law about how cats have to stay inside at night. Really good at demonstrating how intertwined everything is.Okay illustrations.

    3. We're re-reading this one since G was so fond of the old ladies and the cats. But in particular this book introduces Darwin's observation of ecosystems being communities that depend on each other – if one piece is missing than other things can go amiss.

    4. This is a childhood favorite of mine, and I never realized the slightly science-oriented plot until I was older.
