    1. The last in the Midnight Eye series of a tough private eye from Glasgow, who in this story ends up traveling to Canada. Each of these novels have taken on different supernatural themes with the first two being Lovecraftian gods and Norse mythology. This one is about werewolves. While greatly enjoyable, this was my least favorite of the three.

    2. And with this, we come to the end of the Midnight Files. This troika had given me genuine pleasure as long as the novels had lasted. Like any addiction, the hangover, followed by withdrawal symptoms have arrived in due course. If I ask myself, as to what were the features of this series that had caught my imagination, I would have to compose a list, that would include: mixing of old-world horror tropes with very much updated stories, almost hauntingly beautiful settings, crisp & taut dialogu [...]

    3. "Looks like we're back in the Twilight Zone, Derek."This is the third book in Meikle's Midnight Eyes hard-boiled / noir pulp series starring detective Derek Adams.Adams finds himself in a chase across Scotland and Canada with a coveted artifact in his pocket and a pack or two of werewolves on his trail."Just another quiet day at the office."4 STARS

    4. What a wonderful story! I did not realize it was the third book in the series, so I will be quickly adding the first two books to my Kindle. The setting in this book was so descriptive that I could truly picture the towns mentioned. The cast of characters was amazing, and I read this book from cover to cover without stopping so that I could find out what happened.

    5. I am so grateful that I was introduced to these books. This is such a fantastic series, it grabs your attention from the first page and doesn't let go. It has mystery, some action and a fun story. I love it.

    6. THE DETECTIVE IS PLAYING DOG CATCHER, HE ISHello, I liked this story. Perhaps not as much as the previous two, but good none the less. The villain in this one wasn't the caliber of the others. Thanks.
