    1. Persuading Prudence Review a night of passion and mistaken identity has consequences . . . Frumpy Lady Prudence Mayville has harbored a tendre for the devilishly dashing Lord Ravensbrook since her days in the schoolroom. So when the sotted earl mistakes her room for his and her for his mistress, Prudence finds it impossible to resist a chance to experience his passionate lovemaking. When Kolton, Lord Ravensbrook awakens naked in the wrong room and realizes what had occurred, he does the honorab [...]

    2. Only in Regency England could a 26 year old woman be called a spinster and be considered "on the shelf" by those who managed England's marriage mart. Having had only one season and spent party after party gracing the wall as an invisible person, Prudence has made her choice to wear frumpy clothes that are too big for her, wear her gorgeous hair in a severe, uncomplimentary style, keep her attentions to herself and spend her days visiting museums and reading books of note. She is an orphan but th [...]

    3. I’m a spoiler. Not because I want to discourage/encourage anyone in reading this book. I just want to write the highlights for me to remember by in the future. (There are really instances when I forgot about the story and I don’t want to waste my time in re-reading books that have bad plots.) 1 star not because I really do not like the book. It's just i felt that everything was rushed. The sex scenes were described well (plus the quantity of the scenes) compared to the more important parts of [...]

    4. With a lovely mix of a good story, likeable hero and heroine and spicy passion, PERSUADING PRUDENCE by Liz Cole was a really pleasant surprise!Following her parents' death, Lady Prudence (Pru) Mayville has lived with her cousin Victoria, the second Countess Ravensbrook, in the Stanville household since she was six years old. At the age of twenty-six, she's happy to be a confirmed spinster and all efforts by Victoria and her step-daughter, Amanda, to dissuade Pru from wearing drab clothes and cho [...]

    5. Light but fun. Nothing much really happens and I think that lack of histrionics and melodrama is what made me like the story so much. There's a bit at the end that tries to insert some drama, but pretty much all the "good" guys turn up on the "villain's" doorstep, ask why they're playing silly buggers, convince them to withdraw gracefully to the continent, then Prudence and Kolton have a HEA.One thing I did note as unusual, not bad unusual, more like "why does nobody else write like this?" unusu [...]

    6. I bought this book for the pretty cover. Shallow, yes. But what was between the covers was a pleasant surprise. A steamy, funny, historical romance. This book may have the two nicest leads ever! Prudence and Kolton are both sensitive, sweet, and loyal. Prudence is such a strong woman who does not let the wrongs she's witnessed in her past define her. These characters were so warm and loving at times I thought I needed an insulin shot. I really can't think of any imperfections in them. Usually I [...]

    7. A beautifully written historical romance and one I enjoyed greatly seeing I hadn't read a historical for a while. Delightful characters that seemed so real, an intelligent heroine who knew her way around her own heart and was comfortable (well, almost) in her own skin, and a hero who was a man of honor and a surprising determination to do the right thing. That his "thing" turned into an unsought-for romance and brought alive feelings he was surprised to find he welcomed, was just a wonderful eve [...]

    8. Kolton is the womanizer that not even Prudence can resist. A marriage with love is the only way Prudence will marry, but being a twenty-six year old spinster doesn't sound very attractive to men. One night, she sees the chance of feeling the love that she might never get. Will she go ahead and take the chance? What would be the consequences?Persuading Prudence is a lovely story between two people that never loved and believe they never will. It was an enjoyable read, but sometimes predictable. I [...]

    9. Being totally sotted on night, Kolton mistakes Prudence's room for his and sleeps with her taking her virginity. Prudence decides to pretend nothing happened to avoid marrying Kolton out of obligation. Kolton remembers what happened and realizes that even though Prudence has lived with his family since her parents died when she was six, he doesn't know her at all. He does everything in his power to force her to marry him but she continues to refuse. Who will get their way? I liked Prudence. She [...]

    10. Persuading Prudence was a fun historical read that kept me interested through to the last page. What began with a mistaken identity, ended up as a beautiful love story. Prudence was a quiet, shy, unassuming woman, convinced she would remain a spinster. She always had an interest in Lord Ravensbrook, but never felt quite up to his caliber.Mistaken identity led to a night of passion for both. Once he realized what happened, he wanted to do the 'right' thing, but Prudence would have nothing of it. [...]

    11. A lovely read. I loved Pru. Her character was so well written most of us could relate to her. Pru has some issues she has not shared with anyone. Kolton doesn’t even know and doesn’t understand why she feels she can not marry him or the way she feels about herself. He tries to make her believe she is pretty and wonderful. If only Kolton knew the truth. Will it change his mind or will he continue to make Pru see the truth about herself?I loved all the characters even the villain of the story. [...]

    12. Pursuading Prudence was a cute and heated story about Prudence. Prudence is a girl who has a past tainted by her father's rejection of her mother. Prudence intentionally avoided becoming involved with any man because she believes that nobody can care for her because her father could not love her mother. By chance, Prudence finds herself embroiled in plot to force her hand in marriage to the one man that she has ever had feelings for. Prudence was an intriguing character and she wraps you into a [...]

    13. I waffled between 2.5 and 3 stars on this one. It had a promising beginning with an insecure spinster, but instead of being plain and chubby she's actually gorgeous and just has some curves. The sex was steamy. It was also 75% of the story. I liked it well enough but would have preferred if there was more focus on angst and building up of the relationship between the characters, instead of just a non-stop sexathon.

    14. This was a very engaging story. The only reason I didn't give it 4 stars was because the author could have shown more emotion when Pru decides she must leave and when Kolton finds out she's left. Also there were several missing words throughout the story. Even with those, it was well worth reading and I would recommend it to other readers.

    15. I was totally bummed because I ordered this book for my Kindle and I've tried, repeatedly, to download it and it simply won't download! I really wanted to read this book. I keep trying to re-purchase the book and the site won't let me. :(

    16. Brutally slow readEven with the rocky start, I pushed through believing it could get better. Unfortunately, it did not. The story was terrible repetitive and quite frankly, boring.

    17. Loved it! Great story, great characters, great sex! Definitly one of my fave historical romance/erotica stories. :D *** I'll post my full review written for Deviant Divas soon. :)

    18. It was so-so. Nothing particularly unique about this plain jane turns beautiful swan story. But still a cute, fun read.

    19. It could have been a nice ugly duckling read if there had been a plot. The book is just scenes after scenes of them shagging. Really

    20. I love historical romance books and Persuading Prudence was no disappointment! This was a very captivating story, characters with an abundance of mischief & intrigue and a plot full of suspense!
