    1. Fun, quirky, clean romance is the hallmark of Avalon Romance and Constance Sprague's novel, "Tall Order" is a great example of how heart matters more than height. Art history teacher Ava Morrison dreams of a tall, dark and handsome boyfriend who will win her heart in spite of her six-foot one frame. When she meets Troy Burnett, a soccer playing single-parent, they get along well, but he does not meet her list's specifications for a man she can look up to. Troy casts Ava in the role of Helena in [...]

    2. I'm not sure how this wound up on my Kindle, but I'm blaming it on a stray click I might have made when I was buying several books on . That being said, it's just not my cup of tea. It's a romance of the Harlequin variety, though among Harlequins it would probably lie near the top of the heap. Why did I read it? Because I started it, and it's only an afternoon read. It was entertaining in the way that a light beer is refreshing. As literature, I give it a meh-with-shrug. On a positive note, the t [...]

    3. For those that care to know, PG - a few swears, some kissing (not descriptive, but there is a reference to roving hands)So, Ava is super tall for a lady, and Troy, at five inches shorter, is her director in a community theater production. I liked how this book made me rethink my own ideas about what is considered attractive in society and why. Ava's friend made a good point: not appreciating a man because he's not tall is akin to a man not appreciating a woman because she doesn't have a certain [...]

    4. Connie Sprague crafts a delightful little confection of a romance. It should be known that my sister (6'1") played Helena in the George Mason U production of Midsummer and was the physical inspiration for the main character--a fact discovered in casual conversation with the author shortly after we were introduced years later. It was very fun to think of my sister as a literary character as I read.

    5. Fun, frothy with little (very little) substance--a bit like reading cotton candy. Good for a bit of R & R.
