    1. I have read this book as a consultation book for facts of the early modern period in the run-up of modern history. Very structured book jam-packed with information. You should have it at home o your bookshelf to have a reference work for this period. This book does that perfectly.

    2. It has been a great difficulty to find a history book similar to Susan Bauer’s works that runs from the late 15th century to today. I tried The History of the World by JM Roberts, but this book seemed to cover broad themes, and I’m looking for “what happened when” mixed with less exhaustive rhetoric. This book was entirely Eurocentric, but I decided that was okay because I had to get the history from somewhere, and I decided a textbook was the best place. It did a good job giving me Euro [...]

    3. Although I had to read it for a college course, I found the book very informative and easy to follow through the ever changing European history.
