    2. I have read many Fantasy stories. Epics really, like ones written by George R. R. Martin, Terry Goodkind and N.K. Jemisin. I love Fantasy and always will but sometimes the long story lines can become complex and heavy. Politics, revenge, long chapters based on secondary characters and subtle back stories can distract from the main idea of the story. Good versus evil.In Legacies of Talimura: War of the Witch, Angel Haze has given her audience a chance to focus on good versus evil and the heroes t [...]

    3. Ok, I have to say right off the top, I can't go into a lot of detail with this book as I would divulge way to much of this incredible book, and if there is one thing I hate is spoilers. It ruins it for the next person and leaves nothing to the imagination, and for this fantastic book you need your imagination. Angels attention to detail is incredible, by far some of the most detailed writing I love to read, her descriptions of the ongoing battle made me feel like I was right there, feeling the f [...]

    4. **2.5 Stars** I was on the fence between 2 and 3 stars, 2 seemed too harsh because I was able to get through it. But it wouldn't really inspire me to read anymore if the series continued. The plot was good, fairly original idea. And I liked the idea of having a witch be the antagonist, leading a hoard of Orcs and undead soldiers. My Problems with this book are two fold, there was absolutely no world building, and the characters, while they had potential, were not fleshed out as well as what I wo [...]

    5. "War of the Witch" by Angel Haze is a standard fantasy novel that follows the adventures of a young common lad known as Astanyx. He returns home one day from a hunting expedition with his friends to find their village in ruins. When they find Astanyx's dying father, he provides some information on what happened and asks them to go and warn the king. So begins an adventure across the kingdoms of humans, dwarves and elves to try and build an army that could stand against the greatest threat in cen [...]

    6. SPOILERS!! - DO NOT CONTINUE READING IF YOU DISLIKE SPOILERS!****I was nicely given a copy to review of this book from the author. When i read the description it sounded very appealing to me. It sounded like it had pretty much a bit of everything in it, which it did. Witches, Gnomes, Elves, Warriors, Birdmen, and other creatures, some i had never heard of. The story started out good to me, but it abruptly switches to a whole other point of view and stays there for quite a while, which i found ki [...]

    7. When sixteen-year-old Astanyx and his friends return home from a hunting expedition, they horrified to discover their entire village in ruin. Astanyx's dying father gives them a clue as to what befell their families and friends and begs the boys to take a message to the king. Now, it is up to Astanyx to convince the king of the danger which is about to unleash a terrible power upon the land. The strongest thing about Legacies of Talimura is its plotting. The book moves swiftly, taking the reader [...]

    8. I received this book from the author for review, thank you Angel. As the second book I've read by her I have to say I'm a big fan of her writing, she can really explain the different situations her characters find themselves in without making it boring, and she makes you feel like your in the story living the adventures the characters are. I loved the different characters and how they interact, from Astanyx who is brave and noble to Kane who has a hidden secret (which I suspected^^ yay for me) t [...]

    9. I would describe this book as epic fantasy lite. It is a YA quest story that is clean but violent. Exciting and fast, the action progresses quickly without a lot of complications. There is little political intrigue, which allows the story to focus on the good vs evil struggle. The story isn't as in depth as most epic fantasies, but in this case, I think it works. The story is more accessible to YA readers who might be scared off by the idea of a long and complicated story. For a fantasy story, th [...]

    10. I was amazed by the amount of enthusiasm contained in this book. The whole thing was like LOTR revisited, only with more quirkiness, mystic characters, charming young warriors and twisted storyline. The book didn’t get me instantly hook for the first few pages until the first battle and the loss of a young warrior, a friend of Astanxy, in that battle. Almost immediately I sensed something sinister behind his death thus provoked my eagerness to find out more; it’s where the author had succeed [...]

    11. Although not overly original, this is a very decent fantasy story. It's full of action, adventure and epic battles like any good High Fantasy story should be. Especially the battles are very well written I must say. Although I liked Astanyx, I found myself drawn more to some of the side characters: Crypt and Locke (two treasure hunters) were my absolute favourites. Some of the plot turns were a bit too obvious in my opinion, but that might also be because I read a lot of Fantasy and did my fair [...]
