    1. Altogether, I found this to be a decent book. It basically sticks to a timeline structure, starting with Plato and ending with Nussbaum. All of the selections are politically based and the major philosophers are always followed by two additional passages from other, lesser-known philosophers, usually from a feminist or multicultural standpoint.
