    1. A Ring, a Dance, a Second Chance by Jonell Kirby Cash is a novel about two widowers on a journey of rediscovering their lost love which began decades ago. It is a simple but incredibly sweet novel which will mesmerize readers of all ages.Recently widowed Katie Wheatley is beginning to come to terms with her new life when she receives a phone call from her long lost high school sweetheart, Taylor Floyd, who she hasn't seen in almost fifty years. After the death of his spouse, Taylor Floyd is dogg [...]

    2. I received a copy of this book from the author for review.I truely enjoyed this story of first love that did not last, but was rekindled late in life after both people lost their spouses due to death.Taylor and Katie were so very entertaining, as were their extended families. I really admired Katie's confident independent spirit. Traveling to China as a single senior citizen, (although with a tour group) showed her strength and secure sense of self. Taylor's decision to accept the request to run [...]

    3. A second chance at first love? Why not? Cash has created an incredibly sweet novel about two widowers who get to rekindle their passion which began decades ago. Lovers of all ages will not be disappointed in this southern gem stuffed with unforgettable characters which promises room for a sequel.Katie Wheatley is a widower who is just beginning to indulge in her new-found independence when she receives a phone call from her long lost high school sweeetheart who she hasn't seen or heard from in a [...]

    4. I did not particularly care for this book. The story premise was good but I was not able to connect to any character and like the story just jumped from one thing to the next with not much cohesiveness. I did not feel like there was any strong character in the story although the attempt was made. Each time I thought here’s the chance, it slipped by.

    5. I enjoyed this book. The author said it was based on her own true story. I admire her for writing her first book when she is an older person. But, in doing this, she fulfilled a dream she had. My only disappointment was the very abrupt ending. It left me wondering did they marry or not. I would have liked a different ending. I just feel that there was no ending to the story.

    6. A second chance at love? How sweet, or at least it should be. I really wanted to like this book. Judging the synopsis, I thought it sounded like a nice romance story. I didn't really find much romance in the book . They talked about how they had been in love, but I didn't see it. I didn't even like the ending. I don't like lose ends, and I felt like A Ring, a Dance, a Second Chance was a bunch of them put together in one book. The main character was Katie a spunky senior citizen who has been a w [...]

    7. I was looking forward to this being a nice romantic novel with a cute story and a happy ending. Unfortunately, I found this book a little difficult to relate to. I found it a little strange that decades after seeing someone, all of a sudden these two high school sweethearts reconnect and rekindle the relationship they left behind. The characters didn't seem very strongly developed to being with. The biggest downer for me, though, was the author's writing style. I just couldn't feel the flow of t [...]

    8. Jonell Kirby Cash's love story picks up Katie and Taylor's romance right where it left off, their senior year of high school. However, Katie isn't the same girl Taylor remembers. As a widow, she values her independence, living alone, and making new friends, and when Taylor calls Katie she is on the threshold of exploring herself in the larger world. Taylor, ever the old-fashioned man, is surprised by the new, vibrant Katie. The two must learn how to rid themselves of their old memories and expec [...]

    9. A Ring, A Dance, A Second Chance is the lovely story of Katie and Taylor. They dated in high school, planned to marry but parted. Nearly fifty years later after they both lose their spouses, Taylor phones Katie and he wants to see her. Katie is adjusting to her life without her husband. She is a very independant woman. She makes new friends, takes a trip to China and spends time with her family. Taylor is asked to run for mayor and he helps his friend Bobby get out of trouble. After he is electe [...]

    10. A Ring, A Dance, A Second Chance was a great read. You read the description and expect a very sweet and simple love story but the book is so much more. It weaves a tale of many lives that cross paths and trials and tribulations that are so familiar. You will relate to one if not many of the characters. The only thing I can say I didn’t like is that I’m waiting for the rest of the story. When you become friends with a character or get involved in their life you become accustomed to getting on [...]

    11. I like this book. It is very clean and very entertaining. I read a comment that someone had written about it not being a "romance" novel. I do not agree. It is a realistic romance novel. It is very true to life in that our lives are very busy and we fall in love in the middle of everything going on around us, rather than being stranded on a desert island with a mysterious stranger. I like the feeling that it is real. Overall I think it was delightful to read and I would suggest it to anyone who [...]

    12. I was initially intrigued by the title of this particular book and was not disappointed as I read it. Jonell Carter Cash skillfully invites the reader into the story as it swirls around you. Of course the fact that I married a sweetheart from long ago also affected my thinking. I enjoyed the way she brought the two main characters and their families together. Is there going to be a sequel? Mary Cole Roberts, author

    13. The story was interesting and for the most part it was a easy to read page turner but closer to the end I lost interest and maybe because it just felt like the author wanted the book to be longer and added unnecessary events.

    14. Was a wonderful read!! The descriptions of the emotional aspect of losing a spouse is dead on, and love lost and found again was so sweet. The book gives hope that there can be love and life after 60. Can't wait for my Mother to come back from holiday so that I can let her read.

    15. I got this book as a giveaway from . Basically, it's a book about family relationships, loves lost, and love refound later in life. Overall, it was an enjoyable read, although it took a little while for me to get into the character development.

    16. I was pleasantly surprised with this book. It was a cute love story and very interesting to see how grandparents can remarry and make two families mesh.
