    1. For those of you that know me and those that don't this is my little statement about short books. I do not judge short stories on the rush of their relationships, because they are just that - short stories. So, yes the relationships always could have been drawn out more, yea it seems like they fall in love to fast and of course the story could have been made longer but it is a short story. So with that said. here is my reviewI was given this book for my honest thoughts So, let's see what those a [...]

    2. Upon reading the first few paragraphs, I had really wanted to enjoy reading TAKEN BY LOVE! I'm not a fan of vampiresI'm Cheer Captain for Team Jacob I adore the vampire slayer who can rid the world of the evil vampires. My hopes were high as the Hunters, Rebecca and Austin, swore to dust Mannus, an ancient vampire who had slain Rebecca's parents. Unfortunately, I found myself slightly bored even though the tale was rushed.Rebecca is a Hunter. She is sworn to kill vampires and she has a personal [...]

    3. This story held a lot of potential. Unfortunately, the one thing the story is meant to do falls a bit short. This short story, just over 15K words, is meant to whet the appetite of the reader and introduce us to Mindi Winters as a writer. While it does introduce us to her, it also leaves you scratching your head at times because in the same instance both too little information and too much is thrown at us. We do not have time to adjust to the protagonists' personalities before they are thrown to [...]

    4. This is a short novella allowing us to meet Rebecca & Austin, vampire hunters. The story is to introduce us the Hunter series. Some of the story was rushed for being so short but if the series are written as full length novels it may develop into something good. Strong willed, reckless, and longing for vengeance, Rebecca Carter heads into the fight alone…Filled with regret at his failure, Austin Stern vows that this time the monster is going to die…Five years after saying goodbye, Rebecc [...]

    5. Review:I was hooked from the first sentence to the very last word! I just wish there was more of Rebecca’s and Austin’s story to read! I would have loved more character detail, and background. I am so looking forward to reading book two: Taste of Love. Rebecca is a hard-headed, strong-willed, kick A** woman who is loyal and devoted to the memories of her dead parents. She longs for payback for the murder of her father at the hands of a . . . can’t tell you without giving away too much! Alo [...]

    6. I struggled with the rating for this book. It is a good story. There is definitely potential for a series (if there isn't one already-I didn't research)with different "hunter" characters. This is a very short story at just 33 pages, entertaining yes, but I would have liked more developement and back story. So those are the reasons I didn't give a higher rating, but I could have also given it a lower rating because the editing was horrible (if there was any at all), there were so many errors I do [...]

    7. It started out with a lot of potential, but after the sex scene it just fell apart for me. It seemed like the writing, the story, the personalities just went downhill from there. I actually really didn't care for Rebecca and for most of the short story I kept calling her a dumbass. I think she deserved everything she got. At the end, I still have several questions left and the main one would be WHY did Mannus wanted her father so bad?

    8. This book badly needed a good editor - it reads like a first draft dashed off to get all the concepts down, but without further clean-up. There was an interesting story in there, which gained it a second star from me, but it was painful to read (I found myself rewriting it in my head as I read, trying to fix grammar and phrasing).

    9. Austin's Lost Bride -- Different title??First off, this was entirely too confusing with the title thing for this book. After I figured out what book it was I finally was able to sit down and read. It fell short it was entirely too short to tell the story that it was trying to tell. It fell short on character development and the full storyline fell short.

    10. Lets just say I was not impressed. I'm getting tired of this stupidity. Me paying my hard earned money for trashy reads.

    11. the story line was patridicable and stuttered in some places. the pronouns were not correctly used throughout, and he for her, is for it, not a thorough job of editing at all.

    12. Too much melodramatic dialogue. And what is up with the last to orgasm is the winner. I just did not get how this scene was supposed to be pivotal.

    13. Didn't like this at all. There were so many editing issues which I found frustrating! Glad this was free and I didn't waste any money, and at least I can free up some space in n my Kindle.
