  1. This was a book from my childhood that I recently reread and found still interesting, even as an adult. The author chose six big yet relatively obscure cases and outlined them in basic, clear English. Maybe a tad gruesome or graphic for a very young audience, but not worse than what kids are exposed to in movies and video games.

  2. a very interesting book about six outbreaks or medical mysteries. Lyme disease, legionnaire's disease, etc. it is an easy read with not much medical mumbo jumbo.

  3. Hardly a masterpiece of literature, but the stories the author chose were compelling and were part of the reason I wanted to choose a career in science.
