    1. *First Reads Won*This book had a unique plot line, which mainly focused on information, not actually action. But enough events happened in order to keep the reader entertained. The events usually came together quite well and it flowed easily in general. But with that said, there was an extreme lack in editing. In several parts it seem as if the author began to say something, and then changed his mind and never correct the first sentence, jumbling to two together.

    2. I won this book from First Reads giveaways from in exchange for an honest review.Atlantean is a book about Amadeus Angel and his journey to find out his true heritage. His parents are physically and emotionally abusive, but one day that all changes when he is invited to the Seraph mansion and takes his place at Eden Prep. From there, more mysteries pile up and he meets several fascinating girls who have strange powers that he cannot explain. There is a lot of material here, and a lot of it is in [...]

    3. GENRE: YA FantasyTHEME: MythologyRECEIVED: Received for Review from AuthorBLOG: seeingnight/REVIEW:I was really excited when I won Atlantean by E.N Watkins on and even more so because it was based around the myth of Atlantis. Watkins gets very detailed and pulls of an interesting twist about Atlantis that I found very original.Amadeus Angel has gone through life suffering by the hands of his “parents.” You see he special, though he doesn’t know it yet until the day he is requested to atte [...]

    4. This book was one of my reads for the readathon and have to say that i had myself for having it on my shelf for 2 years before picking up to read it. Have ask for this book to read because of the amazing cover and then when i have received it my friend asked for it and then when i got it back i just had other books to read and kept pros-pone it. Give the book an over all a 10 stars (unfortunately doesn't allow more then 5). If you like Greek mythology, story about Atlantic lost city, angels , d [...]

    5. I received this book a long time ago from a giveaway but I did not have a chance to read it until now.Atlantean by E.N. Watkins is a quick read and an enjoyable one too. While a typical YA novel (high school romance abound), it also presents us with a rich mythology based on the Christian narrative (and maybe more - could Odion be a version of the Norse Odin?). It is the discovery of this new information that keeps the fast pace, especially for fans of high fantasy like myself. I was also able [...]

    6. Many thanks to E.N. Watkins for having his book in a give-away here! I got my copy last Monday and finished it yesterday afternoon. It was a really good book to read! The main character is Amadeus Angel, and he's an abused teen very confused and sad. He gets the chance to get away from his 'parents' at a special school, and starts an amazing journey of discovery. At first he's is almost as sad and confused as he was, but things become clear to him. There is quite a bit of back-story and mytholog [...]

    7. I received this book from one of the Giveaways. I did like the plot of the book and the uniqueness of the story. The way that the author took the stories that we all know and put their own spin on thwm and the way they could of happened is very attention grabbing. The only thing that I didn't care for (besides the grammatical editing issues) was the way the story was told, it felt more like reading a script instead of a story. The whole book was basically just conversations which makes it feel [...]

    8. I won this book in a giveaway. This book was a good young adult fantasy. I liked the characters and their special abilities. I had a hard time wrapping my mind around the plot of the story and this could be due to the fact that I am christian and can't believe that Ha Satan (Satan) is really a good person and that (Yahweh) God of the Old Testament is truly bad along with Mary mother of Jesus. My mind was constantly rejecting what was being displayed in the book. This book is a quick read and is [...]

    9. I won this book from First reads giveaway. As much as I tried to like this book I just couldn't. The plot seemed interesting but it was too heavy with the history and background and not enough in the moment itself to make it interesting. Eventually I just gave up on the book. I couldn't read it anymore.

    10. I won this book from .I love what the author has done with this story. A good book for the younger generation. I have no doubt that everyone that readst his book will like it. I think I will pass it on to my teenage son!

    11. Thank you for this great YA ARC book that I won. It is very reflective of the YA genre. I am thoroughly enjoying the read. I have no doubt that younger readers will identify with the books characters. Very good story.
