Having read Ethan Nichtern's "One City," I already knew I enjoyed the company of the author's voice and was looking forward to seeing where, how, and if he would merge his philosophical leanings into narrative fiction. The protagonist, Alex Bardo, was an engaging narrator with the kind of humor, wit, and fabulous sidetrack-to-full-circle storytelling that one likes to curl up with in an email from their best friend as they tell you about their latest adventures.     2. LOVED this book - I just could not stop reading. BUT I really felt like it sort of ended only half way through. I really wanted to know the resolution of his situation with Amelia. If that had been resolved I would have been really happy. That said, it's well written and funny and thought provoking as is.
