    1. Got this for free on amazon for kindleg this was one of those truely poorely written romance novels. I forced myself to keep reading beyond the first chapter, made it about 1/3 of the way through the book and then couldn't continue. The characters are flat, the plot poor, the pacing awful, and the view point switches back and forth so much between characters it is distracting and off putting. Seriously have not picked up a book this unreadable in awhile (i've read fanfiction written by 12 year o [...]

    2. Review: Summer Rose by Elizabeth Sinclair Rose Hamilton moves to Carson on a tale her best friend told her. She met her friend Beth in Foster Care when the girls were about 12 years old. Rose entered the system because her mother up and decided she wasn’t cut out to be a mother anymore and took off and left Rose alone. Beth comes from a far different situation, at least that’s what she tells Rose. Beth’s mom ‘died’ of cancer, but before that happened, Beth has an idyllic life. She live [...]

    3. This is the second book in a series of romance novels set in this secluded WV town. Granny Jo is the central character who begins and ends each book with a journal entry. This second story is much like he first, in that a couple are thrown together unexpectedly, are drawn to each, and fight the attraction because of personal struggles that they need to face. I am impressed with the series so far. It is romance novel and is set in a small mountain town, so has that kind of aura - homey, humorous, [...]

    4. Pretty good book. Of course, you know within the first few pages how it's all going to end, but I kind of like that dependability. And if you're an animal lover, like I am, the book's even more enjoyable. I'm thinking of reading her next one "Forever Fall", especially if there are animals in that one, too.

    5. An easy reading romance book. I loved the relationship of Davey and the animals. Will be interesting if the writer follows that, as the boy gets oder and maybe works either with Doc and Rose or opens another refuge. Ending was of course predictable but the book made me smile and cry at points

    6. 2nd book in a series (Hawks Mountain). I loved this one, too. Some of the same characters, which added to the continuity of the series. The new characters, and the depth of the issues, made this yet another great book. Now I must gohave to get the last two of the series!!!

    7. This story is a sweet romance in which the characters overcome the obstacles caused by their situation and their attitudes for love.

    8. Corny romance in a fictitious town in the West Virginia mountains. A bit too predictable for me but some interesting information on wild animals and vets.
