    1. I've read quite a few (as in, "probably way too many") of the books in this series, and I thought that this was a pretty good example of the genre. The villain was good, the "evil plot" was nicely conceived, and the good guys neither figured everything out prematurely nor blatantly ignored important clues in order to keep the plot moving.
