    1. 3.5 stars, rounded up to 4.Take a Highlander werewolf and send him on a mission to Grand Cayman Island. Add in a beautiful she-wolf. Mmmmm, a sexy and amusing read. When I think of a Highlander, I envision a man in a kilt in a drafty castle somewhere in Scotland. When that Highlander is a werewolf, let’s just say that the man becomes all that more attractive and well sculpted. Now, envision that same Highlander werewolf out of his comfort zone, on a beach in Grand Cayman – Yum!A Howl for a H [...]

    2. The first thing you need to know is, this is not my genre of book at all! I chose this book strictly for the word “Highlander” in the title and to be honest, I was hoping for a few good claymore battles on the Scottish moors with gorgeous men in kilts set in the 14th century. What I got instead was a Contemporary Scottish Werewolf novel set in the Grand Cayman Islands… and I really liked it!What the heck? The tenth in the series of Highland Wolves, this book is about Duncan MacNeill, younge [...]

    4. 4.5stars actuallyCharming Duncan MacNeill from Heart of the Highland Wolf is dispatched to the Cayman Islands to get the clan's money back from financial swindler, Sal Silverman. Duncan spots female wolf Shelley Campbell across the airport and would like nothing better than to while away a few hours with her - after he gets the funds back of course. Shelley, a botanist, is visiting from her job at a Texas University getting information for her classes next year on rare plants and finds out that [...]

    5. Duncan MacNeill has been sent to paradise to collect his families fortune stolen by Silverman. Duncan is a highland wolf and part of the MacNeill Clan. Everything is dependent on his success including the MacNeill’s castle home. He can’t afford to be distracted in any way.Shelley Campbell is a botanist and a wolf shifter. 6. Hopefully I'll get a chance to write a real review but I won this ARC thru first reads, so the happiness factor going into reading this was a plus. I liked Howl for a Highlander though I'd forgotten that Spears' books were on the smexier side (but I think that mainstream PNR has closed the gap since I last read one of her Wolf books.) I like the idea of werewolves with a brogue but Spears made us wait 'til almost the end for the payoff sexy shifter in a kilt:) This one worked for me since even [...]

    7. Overall, I loved this story. There was so much humor, wit, and heat that I found myself laughing and needing a cold shower in equal parts. Duncan and Shelley are great characters and make a great couple, with a perfect blending of personalities and acceptance of each other’s shortcomings. It was also good to see a satisfactory outcome to the clan’s financial issues. There were some great fight scenes and cute scenes with the H/H in their wolf coats, with tons of imagery and vivid description [...]

    8. Who wouldn't want to read a book about a sexy highland Werewolf? I couldn't pass this one up. Let me just say that I really loved it and I enjoyed reading my first book by this author. My whole review will be on RtB.

    9. I enjoyed this paranormal romance set in Grand Cayman Island. The main werewolf characters, romance and plot were all good. An aspect I liked was that incorporated into the get the bad guys action was participation in some local island attractions. Conrad is on a quest to recover money a crook stole from his clan when he encounters Shelly a botanist who is there to study plants in a forest.

    10. Review also posted on Book Lovin' MamasTerry Spear is one of the main reasons why I fell in love with the paranormal romance genre back in 2009 and her latest novel makes me realize how much I need a vacation of my own with my own Highlander. =)Duncan MacNeill is off to Grand Cayman Island to find the thief who stole the clan's fortune. His brother Laird Ian MacNeill knows he can find the thief, get back their money, and put the thief to justice. Unfortunately, Duncan never expected to run into [...]

    11. 4.5 out of 5 Duncan is on a mission to get his clans money back from a con-artist who must not have realized that he has stolen from a wolf clan. To top it off, the con-artist is a wolf. Duncan, the youngest of the MacNeill clan, has left his home in Scotland for the Grand Caymans. He can't afford to be distracted as his family is depending on him. What he wasn't expecting was Shelley Campbell, a botanist professor and sassy she-wolf that hits him with instant chemistry after he tracks down her [...]

    12. I never imagined that I would visit Grand Cayman Island with a hunky Highland wolf-shifter, but that's exactly what happened when I read "A Howl for a Highlander" from talented storyteller Terry Spear! The author's own visit to the island paradise fueled her well-defined powers of description and eye for detail, and you'll feel as though you too are seeing the sparkling sea, the shining sand, and the lush flora and greenery of the island. You'll also hear the deep purr of the hero's Scottish bur [...]

    13. Our Review, by LITERAL ADDICTION's Pack Alpha - Michelle L. Olson:*eARC received from NetGalleyTerry Spear has a very good thing going with her HEART OF THE WOLF series and my favorites so far have had to do with those sexy highland wolvesThis one had a cool concept. I liked the set up, I loved the way that she overlapped the stories to create cohesion between the characters, and there were just enough surprises.Shelley is a professor of botany and on a research trip to the Cayman Islands. She l [...]

    14. 3 stars. We're back with the Highlander quadruplets. Duncan is the youngest and the most warrior-like of the brothers. He decided to go to the Caribbean to chase the man who swindled all of their clan's money. When he got there, there's a mix-up with his accommodation and just happens to meet she-wolf botanist Shelley who was there trying to find a plant that could help werewolves control their shifting. He wrangled a deal to stay at her villa for half-cost. When the swindler started hitting on S [...]

    15. I am so glad to continue on with this Heart of the Wolf series and the world of wolves that Terry Spear has created. In this installment we continue on with Duncan and Shelley's story, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Something about this Highlander wolf, Duncan, caught my attention. Maybe it was the accent?! Probably :)I was really excited going into reading this story for some reason. I thought the romance aspect of the book was okay. In the beginning, it was turning out to be a bit of insta-love, [...]

    16. Terry Spear does it yet again. Howl for a Highlander brings us the story of Duncan MacNeill, one of the hunky Highland wolf quadruplets we met in Heart of a Highland Wolf. Duncan has left his homeland for Grand Cayman Island and is hunting down the thief that stole his family’s fortune. With a single plan on his mind he has no desire to play tourist while on the island. Little did he know his plans would be sidetracked by the sexy little she wolf Shelley Campbell as soon as he departed the pla [...]

    17. I received this book as an ARC from the wonderful author Terry Spear. I have never been disappointed in any of her books and I definitely was NOT disappointed in this one. I absolutely LOVED it and I can't wait to read more of what she has to offer. Her writing style flows gracefully from one instance to another which makes it easy to read and understandable. Her descriptons and characters were so vivid that while reading it I could imagine being there and experiencing everything going on around [...]

    18. Whenever you start a book by Terry Spear you never have to worry if you will enjoy it or not. The only thing you have to worry about is whether or not you have enough uninterrupted time to read her wonderful story straight through. You see I didn’t think about that when I started reading ‘A Howl for a Highlander’. I ended up staying up until 3:00 in the morning lost in this fascinating and romantic world of wolf shifters. Was it worth being tired and dragged out the next day? YES!Duncan Ma [...]

    19. Terry Spear is fast becoming one of my favorite authors so as soon as this one popped up on Netgalley I was very excited. As usual Spear has managed to take her wolves to places I would never have thought. This time we find our wolves in the Cayman Islands. Of course not on vacation, but they will have some fun.Now As usual I have not been ready these in order but if you have this one takes place after Hear of the Highland Wolf. It seems that the MacNeil clan has found themselves swindled out of [...]

    20. There is just 'something' about a Highlander, rough, tough, hot-add being a wolf shifter, maybe throw in a kilt, romantic tension with a nefarious plot and once again, I am glued to another Terry Spears book!Duncan MacNeill has set out to regain his family's fortune, stolen by Salisbury Silverman, an American gray wolf, a financial fraud genius with world-wide warrants out for his arrest. Sal is hiding out in the Cayman Islands and that's where Duncan has gone.At the airport Duncan is distracted [...]

    21. Shelley Campbell is a botanist and a shifter. She has came to the Grand Cayman Island to study the rare plant life there. She is studing plants to see if any can stop a shift or help someone to shift who can't. She rents a villa thinking to use her grant money to help pay for it. She finds out that someone has stolen the shcools grant money. Shelley did not come to the island to get involed with a man but she doesn't count on a sexy highland alpha wolf to give her a ride from the airport to her [...]

    22. Great so far!!!!! My fav lines are-"We'll have to make some sleeping rules.""Aye. No snoring, no kicking, no stealing the covers."It was so good! I love Duncan's family and Shelley's too!Re-reading this book, I am in love with one of the beginning scenes when Duncan was "protecting" Shelley from the sharks and she asks if he would ever let her come to his castle to see the gardens. I love that they were both hopeful about the future of their relationship, even during the beginning! "Not having r [...]

    23. Terry Spear does again!First off, who wouldn't love a Highland wolf that's a true warrior and wields a sword like it's nobody's business? He's on a mission to get back the money that's been stolen from his clan. Not to be forgotten is the fiesty female wolf that's out to find an herb or plant to aid in the shifting for newly turned werewoves. Put the two of them together, and you have sparks and speedos flying. Toss in an island paradise and a wolfy con artist, and you're sunk hook, line, and si [...]

    24. When money is stolen from the clan, Duncan MacNeill travels to the Cayman Islands to recover it and deal with thief, Silverman. On his arrival he meets tempting she-wolf Shelly Campbell. He is determined not to be distracted, especially not by Shelly, but fate has other plans for both of them. I loved this latest addition in the Heart of the Wolf series. Spear's Alphas are always fun to read about, but her Highlanders I do love the most. I mean really what is not to like - werewolf highlander in [...]

    25. Hot highlander shifter in a vacation paradise meets an intelligent and feisty female were. Seriously, there could be no other plot point other than that and Terry would have a winner. Of course she adds in a mystery, some suspense, a whole lot of heat and sprinkled it with a few surprises in this " I could not put it down" read. I am kicking myself for not finding this series earlier. She has amazing lore, interesting and fun characters and my personal weakness, shifters. You do not need to have [...]

    26. Another win for the best selling author Terry Spear. She takes to into a world you join to lose yourself in. Duncan and Shelly are hot and steamy and unleash passion. It was experiencing the adventure with them.Terry Spear is one of my favorite authors and I cant wait to read her next book. I hope it comes out soon.

    27. This is really more of a 4.5 because of minor (personal) issues with the story, but I'd never read Terry Spears before and got a chance to read an ARC of this book. Glad I did. Absolutely.

    28. This is the first time I've read any of Terry Spear's books. Have to say it was a excellent read! Looking forward to reading more by her. But then, I do love Highlanders that's for sure.

    29. Highlanders, wolves, AND pirates oh my?! All my favorite types of hunks rolled into one. Be still my heart.
