    1. I still loved it. ++Spoilers++I REALLY liked this book. I give 5 stars because I personally enjoyed it. It is totally my kind of read. I suppose I should lower a fraction of a star because of a few small reasons, but I wont. The reasons are 1) The beginning starts out a litlle awkward and rough. But it quickly smooths out. I suspect it may be due to the fact I did not read the previous book.2) There was about a chapter that goes into some historical backround I am guessing it's to fill a reader [...]

    2. Hugh is a refreshing hero; a virgin. But he is terrified that something is wrong with him because he was aroused during a battle. Back in those days they were unaware what adrenaline did to the human body. Thus, Hugh has decided he shall never marry.FATE chooses to ignore that and before Hugh knows it he is stealing a battered woman and her family from a cruel, duplicitous man who claimed her home and her body.Devona is a woman who will do anything to keep her family safe including selling her b [...]

    3. If Love Dares Enough by Anna Markland is a sequel to Conquering Passion and finds both Hugh and Antoine Montbryce struck dumb by love! ;-)I absolutely love the title of this book and I feel that this book lives up to its name. I enjoyed it very much and though it covered both brothers and their romances I don't feel that it was rushed. Well done Anna!Since it appears that most of Anna's books are interconnected, I have decided to read them in chronological order, which I have posted below:Year - [...]

    4. This third book in The Montbryce legacy series was my favorite so far. While I enjoyed the first two, I found If Love Dares Enough much more engaging and entertaining. The plot was more uplifting and centered more around romance and passion and featured less brutality, war and politics. Although one of the main characters, Hugh, is effected by his experience with war. There is an ongoing theme of the characters experiencing traumatic events and dealing with the aftereffects of it. I love how the [...]

    5. Although this book is way outside my usual time period, I have to admit that I loved it.In fact it's fair to say that I couldn't actually put it down.Fabulous well paced story, with characters that you could invest in and a believable villain. only go up to 5 stars, but I would be happy to give this a 5+ star rating. I paid nothing for this and feel blessed to be introduced to this author, and can't wait to read more.If you read anything this year, have a go at this series of books. In case I did [...]

    6. I am so excied about discovering this terrific author. The H/h have to overcome some pretty horrific obstacles before they can come to terms with their situation. Both characters have to grow and mature to except lifes chllenges.I am super excited Ms Markland has written more on this family and expanded her story over several characters in her previous books. It is nice to be able to see when the author creates a future for past interesting characters.

    7. Well I have to tell you, I didn’t read the 1st 2 books. I’m sure that they where as good as this one tho. I loved how this story was full of action and love and a whole lot more. If you are looking for a Historical Fiction > Medieval romance! This on is all the way for you.It will leave you wanting more, and keep you guessing!4.5 Stars

    8. Well-researched historical romance from a writer who knows her history. Solid, satisfying story. What more can you ask?
