Thoroughly researched and wonderfully engaging, this re-imagined history of the War of the Roses has a lot to capture a reader's attention. Shipwrecked in Brittany with the young Henry the 7th in his charge, she paints a compelling portrait of a war-weary Jasper Tudor--part political player, part cynic and part honorable knight of the realm.     2. Thanks to the author for this first reads. I enjoyed the book. King Henry VII is a popular subject from some excellent authors. Henry is not the main character here, but the plot revolves around him. Jasper Tudor gets center stage here with a supporting cast of some domineering and utterly lovable women. The gentlemen never knew what hit them.I plan to read the next book in this series. There were errors in grammar, punctuation, spelling, mechanics which need to be corrected.
