    1. I am learning what makes the music world go , drugs ,sex and rock and roll , in that order .I can't take that kind of systematic hard partying ,but the stories make me laugh .And I love knowing the history of the Whisky , the Roxy , and the Troubador .

    2. A great read. I loved learning about how the Sunset Strip scene started and the bands, entertainers and main players made it the iconic place that it is today. How it survived the changes in cultural and political climates. I also found some new music to listen to as some of the main performers there had somehow passed me by. This is a great biography to read for anyone who loves live music and entertainment, and a little gossip from back in the day.

I was especially disappointed that the authors basically glossed over the 1980's glam/hair metal scene, which is what I was most interested in. They're basically, "Once upon a time Motley Crue and then Poison and then grunge, [...]

    5. I was really surprised that this book's account of the event was the first time I had ever heard about the time Jim Morrison met Janis Joplin.

    6. an awesome look into Sunset Strip nightclubs Whisky A Go-Go and its sister establishments the Roxy Theatre and the Rainbow Bar and Grill
