    1. Review first posted on my blog: Book Addict 24-7I received a copy from the author for reviewI'm very conflicted after reading Superheroes Wear Faded Denim by Law Reigns. Though it grabbed my attention, it wasn't in my usual way. I gave the novel two out of five stars because the story was original, but I wavered between a one and a two because the writing was too archaic and lacked editing, while the characters, mainly the protagonist, Blissany Cherry, were so weak and annoying, that I almost pu [...]

    2. READ THE REVIEW ON MY BLOG: sarainbooklandblogSuperheroes Wear Faded Denim is a Paranormal/YA novel written by Law Reigns. About a month ago the author contacted me for asking me to review her novel and I was so glad to accept her request. The plot caught me from the first moment I read it and the excerpt she sent me for her guest post just made me more curious about her work.Blissany has always thought she was just an ordinary girl and she has always lived in the shadow of her man-eater friend [...]

    3. I'd say this is more like 3.5 stars, for the record.I was sent a copy of this book by Law Reigns in exchange for a review. And I gotta be honest here, I was terrified of it. I left it sitting in my Kindle library for weeks, afraid to start. Then I started reading, only to keep stopping. "OMG, what if I hate it? What do I say? MY BAD REVIEWS ARE SO MEAN! Do I pretty it up? Do I take the honesty route? What do I dooooo?"Finally I decided to put on my big girl panties and just do the damn thing. If [...]

    4. Short review: The books is supercalifragilisticexpialidocious and unique. The characters have many flaws that make you slap and slow grind them at the same time. The book desperately needs an editor and someone to reformat it, but my eyes still made love to this book (fast and slow).Long review: I want to disagree with another reviewer because I'm violent and enjoy conflict. I didn't find the characters weak. They had big character flaws (like Texas BIG), but it was a great representation of our [...]

    5. This was a very exciting and action-filled story. The action pretty much starts a couple of pages in and doesn't let up.What Reigns has written is an intriguing and original take on the Angel myth, mixed in with the reality of life, and the adventures of college.Blissany unbeknown to her is The Key, she and Don another college student who is the Paladin are to be the saviours of mankind from a war amongst the Angels, and the High and Low courts.Blissany's friend Wankiya is the Redeemer the King o [...]

    6. I received this book from the author for an honest review. I had high hopes for this book, and decided to take a chance on it, but it just wasn't for me.Blissany is the main girl and she has been having dreams with an angel named Gabriel that keeps trying to get her to commit to fighting a war. Blissany of course doesn't believe it and just wants Gabriel to have "dream sex" because she is sure it is all strange dreams with a hottie. And then there is Dom. He is the other one that they need to fi [...]

    7. I really liked the book. Really. However, the reason why it took me 1-2ish months to finish reading this book rather than 1-2 days was because the starting didn't catch my interest. I found myself getting bored, even when the action started immediately. I thought there was a hook, but there WASN'T a hook. I don't know how to describe it. But! ButI re-read it after my examinations, and I was completely sucked into the plot. I just had to pass that "boring" stage, and WHAM! Completely, utterly hoo [...]

    8. What an amazing, amazing read. I loved "Superheroes Wear Faded Denim" by Law Reigns! Everything unfolded before my eyes like a vivid movie. And the characters!? They were all so well-rounded and unique. Each one was a star in my eyes, even the minor ones. The plot was so intense and not at all cliché. The author, Law Reigns, describes her book as a dark and gritty YA romance. Though this book has some dark and gritty moments, it is so much more than a romance. It is a comedy, a story of redempt [...]

    9. This book is very surrealistic. It requires an ability to put aside the “normal” view of the world and accept the world of the book to fully grasp the concepts and ideas of the book. It would drive my husband crazy, but I enjoyed it for the most part. At times I was lost and confused, but those were rare. The plot was so intense, dark, and gritty with hints of humor, romance and a fabulous subplot to boot. The characters were unique yet very believable and realistic. The characters evolve fro [...]

    10. Superheroes Wear Faded Denim is university life on steroids. Just days before graduation balmy nights on the boulevard changes everything for campus hotties- Blissany, Demi, Don, and Wanikiya. Blissany’s urban voyages open a portal on campus. Divinely chosen, she and her friends must align themselves with the higher and lower courts to wage war against demonic forces. Reluctantly this eclectic crew juggles chaotic university life and crazy relationships to save mankind. Superheroes Wear Faded [...]

    11. This was a very creative and well written story. The story itself deals with regular college life: roommates, classes, and social stuff; then there's the fantasy side, dealing with a war, saving mankind, and uncertain what to do when dreams actually become reality. The story along with the characters was very entertaining. We read from different POVs, including Blissany's, so we see this story from all sorts of sides. This was a good novel that had suspense, jealousy, romance, and destiny. It is [...]

    12. This book is a great summer read for fans of Halo. If you like stories with cosmic war and angels deciding the fate of humanity, check it out.For my review, hop over to onthebroomstick/

    13. I am so glad I read this book! What a fascinating blend of thriller, paranormal and good old fashioned romance! I loved the spell the author wove when creating this page turner. Will look for more in the future!

    14. Awesome fun twists on Angels! There were multiple POV's that confused me at first, but I got the hang of it after a while.Good read for my book vacation.

    15. Superheroes Wear Faded Denim is an intense rollercoaster of a book. It’s dark, gritty, complex and fascinating from page one until the very end. I was so enthralled with this book I kept on turning the pages until the wee hours of the morning. This story has an entirely different outtake on what it means to be a superhero, the Angel lore, and the ancient battle of good vs. evil. I was more than a little amazed, and definitely enjoyed this book. The main character, Blissany, is a delight to read [...]

    16. I thought the plot line in this book was unique, and I enjoyed the overall plotline which is why I gave it 3 stars; however, I really struggled with some of the exposition. There were places where the backstory of the characters is confusingd there were plenty of opportunities for more thorough explanation of those stories. I would've liked to see these stories fleshed out. For instance, (view spoiler)[The history of Don's mother is kind of difficult to follow. He describes her as crazy at the be [...]

    17. *Received for review through We love YA-ARR discussion group** Review also posted on and amazonMore like 3.5 stars. The synopsis for Superheroes Wear Faded Denim caught my eye, but unfortunately the book itself didn’t hold my attention in the beginning . Due to the massive backstory and uncertainty on what was happening – e.g. whether Blissany was unconscious or awake, I noticed myself losing interest and taking my time to finish the book. Once I did overcome this hurdle, I was able to enjo [...]

    18. I have some contradictory feelings with "Superheroes wear Faded Denim". Reason? Yeah, I will get to that later. Before that, I like the title and the cover. The story and the world was unique. There is a war, raging between the higher and lower realms. Earth belongs to the middle realm. Blissany and Dom, two humans from Earth were 'created' with a purpose to help the higher beings win the war. But, they both already struggle to have a normal life, what with childhood troubles and sleep issues. Wh [...]

    19. Superheroes Wear Faded Denim introduces us to two main characters Blissany Cherry and Don Shimada. Blissany is shy self-conscious art student and a sleepwalker who just happens to be the key to defeating one of the greatest evil this world has ever known. Don is outgoing, popular and basically has a bright and successful future ahead of him until that is he starts having hallucinations of war and destruction. Together they are bound by destiny to save the world. All in all a great concept but I h [...]

    20. I will admit that this book is difficult to get into at first. Blissany suffers from narcolepsy, which means she can sleep anywhere at any time. It causes her lots of problems, as she frequently misses classes and other events. When she is sleeping, she is often vividly dreaming. Gabriel and the others use these dreams to their advantage, trying to convince her that she needs to come save them. The reader, just like Blissany, is often confused about what is real and what is actually in the dream [...]

    21. Action packed barely begins to describe this book. I was a bit overwhelmed at first, trying to follow the ups and downs of the story. College life mixed in with a few otherworldly beings. Michael, Gabriel, Uriel and Raphael. I believe I've heard those names somewhere before. The main characters are wonderfully engaging people. I was able to easily identify with several of them. It's interesting attempting to keep straight the unusual names these people have. Blissany, Demi, Don and WanikiyaEach a [...]

    22. (DNF)I accepted this book on a bit of a whim - the synopsis sounds like a psychological thriller, but the cover/title looks like a chick lit book with supernatural theme. Either way, I liked the sound of it. Unfortunately, I couldn't get through this book for many reasons.Since I didn't finish it, I obviously had a trouble with the beginning. It is very overwhelming and there are lack of explanations and reasons why the characters are in this conundrum. Even though this book is action-packed and [...]

    23. Even though I am giving this book 4 out of 5 stars I still have mixed feelings for this book. I was really annoyed with the main character for the great part of the book. What saved the book is the how different it is, also the last quarter of the book was very good. The whole love triangle is annoying, however it keeps you reading because you really want to see what is going to happen. Another problem I have is that the story does not feel finished. I am hoping that there will be another book t [...]

    24. i have to give her credit for her imagination. it's not easy to create unique characters and have them live up to and surpass expectation.I found the book a little confusing though. There was too much and so many characters with dull emotions but towards the end the book actually came alive.i was cheering for Don and B but i see why they ended up the way they did. it had to do with who they were supernaturally.

    25. Im sorry but I was unable to finish the book. It had me lost and confused throughout what i did read. I had to stop reading it because it got to me to much confusion, sex and magic. I usually can get past the confusion and the sex but i can not read about magic. Im sorry that i was unable to put a proper review up. I hope others had a better time than i.

    26. This story is about Blissany Cherry. I love her name, I think it's as unique as the story itself. I found this story slightly confusing, while it has a good strong plot, I felt like it was being rushed and like there was too much being added in at once. There are characters I loved and then some I just wanted to punch in the face. All in all I liked this book so I'm giving it a 7 out of 10.
