    1. I didn’t really get the point of this short story. Shane acts like a chauvinist, buys a car and haggles with a vampire. It was pretty boring.

    2. A Shane story and none too interesting. Granted, it would only be interesting to me if he died. The permanent kind of death. But really, folks he buys a car. The end. Is it just me or was this story included in one of the books?Anyway, as far as I can tell Shane's purpose is to:1. cockblock Myrnin2. play the damsel and tease me with the possibility of his demise3. try (and fail) to play the tragic hero4. get everyone in trouble with his rage issues5. raise my ireHe's an ignorant, intolerant, cha [...]

    3. Murdered Out is short story 6.1 in The Morganville Vampires Series by Rachel Caine. This story is told from Shane's point of view and is my favorite POV as far as sorties go. In this tale, Shane and Claire are walking home from the movies when she sprains her ankle. She's fine, but this starts Shane thinking about buying a car. He finds a beauty of a car and the eldery lady sells it for $300. He had another $200 to spend and feels guilty for cheating her out of more money. He takes it to Rad who [...]

    4. I’m really not sure what the point of this one is.Shane buys a car, and that is about it. Oh, he haggles with a vampire somewhat but it is all over and done within a couple of pages. Moreover, it isn’t as though the car really comes into play in the series. It’s touched upon once (I believe it is only once anyway) as the rest of the time we deal with Eve’s vehicle. So yeah, this one is somewhat pointless for me…

    5. English is not my maternal language so I had no idea "Murdered Out" is a term used for a car that is all black (wheels, tail lights, windows). I was expecting a story about someone being murdered and it turns out to be about a car LOLThe story was ok but didn't really contribute to the series.

    6. The story of Shane's car. It really enforces what a sweet guy he his, despite his gruff exterior. 4 Stars

    7. One thing I really love about this short is that we get to read something from Shane's POV. But we also get to see how it's isn't only the vampires causing problems in Morganville. All the humans are blaming the vampires for the deaths throughout the town, but in this short we see that the humans are just as bad, if not worse than some of the vampires.Another thing I love about this short is that we get to see Shane be who he really is. Shane loves to fight. He loves to fight people who deserve [...]

    8. I liked this one mostly because Shane showed who he really can be. A nice guy fighting the right battles and landing alive. It was never so easy to buy a car, but I liked the fact it was a necessity for them because Claire would need the safety and he took the time to think of someone else safety.

    9. "That was the thing about Morganville.  Nice place to visit, but you wouldn't want to live here."hmmmah, I'm with most of the other reviews. This one, unless it ties into the next book and I see the point in itjust seemed like run-of-the-mill kind of day to day stuff and was kind of boring

    10. This was an alright story but did not enjoy it as much as the other stories. This story was from Shane's viewpoint as he tries to get a car. With a vamp getting in the way but he does end up getting the car and takes Claire out. It was a nice story about them together but do not think this is needed with the rest of the series. x

    11. I appreciated this little novella about Shane and his desire to get a car. I like that he doesn't take everything the vampires dish out and he's willing to stand up for what he believes in. As always with novellas, I wish there was more, but I liked what we got.

    12. Read for free here - morganvilletexas/index/a-fWhat an utter waste of time! (view spoiler)[ Shane buys a car, sells it to a vampire, and goes to the movies. (hide spoiler)] Not exactly riveting reading.

    13. Nothing especially interesting to read here, probably only recommendable to die hard fan. It's just a short story about Shane buying a car and as usual the inevitable problems that come with breathing in Morganville.

    14. Well it wasn't as action packed as the rest of the series but the fact that in this short story unlike the ones before the gang was more together made me like it and, well, I kind of like Shane's POV.

    15. Source: This was found in the back of book 6. Cost: Free Title:Murdered Out Series:The Morganville Vampires #6.1 Author:Rachel CaineShane bought a car, then sold a caren borrowed a caren went to a cinema.Nothing special here.

    16. Another great scene from Shane's point of view. This one about a car. Interesting twist on the term "pimped out" and/or "tricked out." depending on which school of car jargon you ascribe. These extras give added depth to the characters we usually see only through Claire's eyes.

    17. This was a good story involving Shane. I really like it! It's about time he gets some transportation of his own!

    18. ShaneI justhe is PROBABLY my favorite out of Michael, Eve and himd getting to read more about him just makes me SO freaking happy.

    19. This was an okay short story. Just about Shane purchasing the old Charger that you found out about in the last book of the series.

    20. It was just an ordinary Morganville story about Shane getting a car. Nothing unusual or shocking, but I still like it. Maybe because I missed Morganville.

    21. This was a sweet short story, about Shane getting a car. Of course we saw some Claire & Shane and Michael & Eve.
