    1. His entire adult life Alex Dovington has kept his inability to read a secret from everyone but his best friend and manager Tommy. Although his career as a jazz saxophonist has brought him money and fame, he has not been happy for a long time.Unlike her father, Cara Williams cares about helping people. With Beacon House she is able to open a whole new world to people with illiteracy, which makes losing her business all the more heartbreaking.Cara desperately needs the donation she will get if she [...]

    2. What a great debut from Harmony Evans. This book was thought provoking, meaningful, and had a wonderful message. The storyline was really originally. I don't think I've ever read the subject matter of illiteracy in a romance book and it was really refreshing. This was a definite page turner. Alex and Cara had great chemistry. Their love scenes were sensual and steamy, and their love story really pulled at my heart strings. This was a great start for this author, and I can't wait to read more fro [...]

    3. A wonderful debut in which Harmony Evans writes a refreshingly different storyline revolving around the subject of illiteracy (she also does it skillfully so that the hero, in keeping with publisher guidelines, is wealthy despite his handicap). The characters were real, the story was romantic and sexy (I'll never look at a Scrabble board the same way again), and it was just a touching story. Kudos to the author. I'm looking forward to reading more of her work.

    4. Harmony Evans' debut novel "Lesson in Romance" is a true winner. It took me two days to read this book. The subject of illiteracy was a welcome change from any of the romance novels I have read so far. I truly felt the connection between Cara and Alex from the beginning to the end of the book. Really looking forward to reading more from Harmony.

    5. This is the first book I read by Harmony Evans. This book's storyline was okay. I didn't like Alex. I thought Cara was too nice to teach Alex. This is a nice book to read in your free time. I would read more books by Ms. Evans

    6. I kinda struggled with this one for a minuteis was just an okay read for me but felt it was better than a 2 star read thus my 3 star ratingbut will defintely give this author another try.

    7. Harmony Evans book, Lesson in Romance, is one I could not put down. I could not turn the pages fast enough. She has crafted a fast-paced, sexy romance with two characters to die for.

    8. It's awesome to read how someone overcomes a challenge/difficult issue. It's more amazing when it's done with love. Great read

    9. Cheesy but cuteCute little love story a little cheesy with the story being based on a huge unlikely to ever happen coincidence but all in all an ok read.

    10. Well done. It may have been a romance novel but she added a very real subject matter that isn't always addressed in the black community.
