    1. "Puppalicious and Beyond: Life Outside the Center of the Universe" is a small book with a large amount of tales concerning Pamela Hutchins and her life with her family, humans and non-humans included. On the back cover, it states that some of the accounts are real, and some are not -- and while you never learn which, each and every one is filled with amazing storytelling that makes this book a very fun read. Most of the stories contained in "Puppalicious" are short to middling length: none of the [...]

    2. Puppalicious and Beyond, written by Pamela Fagan Hutchins, is a collection of essays/blog posts taken from Hutchins’ personal blog, which focuses on Hutchins, her family and their various menagerie of pets - canine, feline and hares alike. It also introduces the reader to excerpts of Ms. Hutchins' first fiction novel, the initial novel in the Katie and Annalise Series, Saving Grace. When I began reading Puppalicious I wasn't sure how Hutchins was going to manage to fill an entire book with shor [...]

    3. Great writing, Great editing, clean and fast, this book is over before you know it and leaves you wanting more. Don't let the covers fool you, Ms Hutchins books are not kids books, although most parents would find THIS one fine for their teenage kids. This is the one (of the current 5 total Narrative non fiction works recently published) that does not have a great deal of "learn from my successes and failures". This one is just flat out fun, including even some weaving back and forth between fic [...]

    4. Unfortunately, none of the stories were particularly enticing to me. They were cute, but after the story about Cowboy, the dog who wouldn't leave her daughter Suzanne alone, I decided I was done. It could be just that I am outside the target audience. Although I am a pet owner and love my two cats, I don't have enough animals to fill a miniature Ark like the author does. I am also a busy grad student who jealously guards non-study time. (How am I 70 books into my 178-book target for the 2013 Ch [...]

    5. Perfect for any animal lover! A lot of the stories were hilarious (loved the frog story), and some were more serious. The setting and background info made even the most unexpected stories interesting. I didn't think I'd be able to relate to animals in the Virgin Islands, but I loved the descriptions of the geckos and gungalos and even the bats. Pamela does a fantastic job of grabbing the reader's attention and keeping it. I loved everything about this book, read it cover to cover. All the storie [...]

    6. Loved it loved it loved it. This is not just someones ode to their lovable pooch. It is a collection of stories about animals, ghosts, bugs think creatures. It is funny, creative, touching and moves so fast you want it to be twice as long when you reach the end.One other interesting thing about this book is that the author weaves in a couple of fiction excerpts from yet to be published books. Might sound a little weird, the way I describe it, but it works, and it great. You will not regret the p [...]

    7. After reading all 5 of her new releases what I first thing I think of is, she is a great story teller. She knows how to get you to drop your guard and pull you in. Some stories made me smile and others had me spewing my coffee and laughing out loud. While all the stories weave together, they are not about one animal or one scene or one period of time. A lot of the book is based on the authors experiences living in the Caribbean and the book at times transports you there and lets you feel it and [...]

    8. I really enjoyed all the stories written, the book was a fast but memorable read. I read a few out to my boys and they loved them, the fave is "At least we'll always be able to find it" a cute story about Petey, the one-eyed Boston terrier, and getting fixed and micro chipped in the same appt. I couldn't read it out loud without falling into fits of giggles. The only complaint I had was wanting to see the pics in color :-( other than that, I loved the book and I'll check out other books by this [...]

    9. Wonderfully full of every emotion one could possible feel and live. I laughed, cried, smiled and understood. A wonderful collection of many stories and happenings. Very light read and brings regular life stress way down.

    10. I can see why Pamela Hutchins has won so many state and national awards for her writing. She is such a fantastic story teller. Our family has always had pets and I found all her pet stories wonderful. Not all are funny- some made me cry but I definitely loved this book.

    11. I really enjoyed this book, having several animals of my own I found her stories to be simply hilarious, but also engaging in a way that really made me feel connected with the story and the that it was all unfolding around me.

    12. A funny and entertaining look at life in paradise, in the tropics and in our minds. And sharing it with our animal friends. I loved the montage of stories. And for someone who also loves animals, I think this is a great read of how all creatures great and small are important to us all.

    13. I loved all of these stories! I have plenty of animals myself, and can relate to most of the stories! I would recommend this to anyone who really loves all types of animals.
