I am a huge fan so my review is totally biased.Roger lived in Australia so he brings a unique perspective as a fan during the 70s and 80s.His dedication mentions that Bowie made his art in the 70s and his money in the 80s. Through mis-management he lost money that he was later rewarded in the 80s. Many people are very tough on his 80s music. A truly wonderful book for Bowie obsessives, with some brilliantly chosen pictures (many of which were completely new to me), exhaustive facts (studio time, setlists, TV appearances etc) and some nice gossipy quotes from friends, fellow-artists and the man himself.Covering Bowie's grand decade, 1970-1980, this book is a bit of a luxury - an oversized, well produced tome that allows you to spend time revelling in the qualities of an artist at the absolute peak of his powers.
