    1. A book I have borrowed from the library but one I will definitely be adding to my personal collection. The layout is great, it is set out starting with as early, mid and late spring, then working through each of the seasons, what to do with each crop type, how to plant, harvest and store and problems that you may encounter and how to deal with them. Good pictures and easy to access throughout the year.

    2. A bit like an encyclopaedia. Somewhat overwhelming in its scope. Each season is presented in three segments, early, mid, and late. The what to do for each plant is then presented within that. If you are growing only a few types of veg or fruit you will have to hunt through quite a lot of information to find the relevant portions in each section.

    3. This gardening book is relevant to both northern and southern hemispheres, by the simple substitution of "early summer", "mid winter" etc. in place of January, February, March. I did notice one localism - the nut I know as a hazelnut was referred to as a cobnut or filbert, with no mention of hazelnuts. Includes information about some unusual fruits and veg. Beautifully laid out.
