    1. Eye opening beginning! The story starts with Rob waking up next to his deceased wife. Hurricane Katrina has devastated his neighborhood, making it impossible for his wife Margeaux to get the insulin she required. Rob's only wish is to find peace for his late wife. He goes to the football stadium in search of his father, and many years of past neglect, and unhappiness come to a head during the devastation after Katrina.

    2. As someone who loves the City of the New Orleans and the spirit of the people that bring the city to life, this book is an absolute must-read. The book does an excellent job of painting a picture of what life was like for the people of New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina. The book is written in a way that immediately draws you into the lives of the characters that you instantly feel attached to. The only "negative" thing about the book is that when I was finished I was still wanting more. Hi [...]

    3. The character development creates deep connection with you and the suffering of those in the story. This story gives a good perspective on what a person would be experienced during the aftermath of the storm.

    4. I really great portrayal of the devastation the hurricane caused. I just wish there was more development of Teresa's relationship with her father.

    5. Great readGives a great perspective on the flood. Especially now that it has been ten years. I was able to feel the pain of everyone.
