    1. Hector Oh Hector, what a sexy, smart, hottie you grew up to beHector is the third book in the 5th Street boxers series. In the previous books Hector was very young, cocky, explosive (that won't change too much) but here we get to see his growth. He matures into a young man who who will go a long way to make things right- even at the expense of himself. Charlee, is young woman who has moved to California to start over and while leaving behind a painful past. What ensues is a touching (sexy) story [...]

    2. Me during the first half of the book : What an adorable little story with such a shy and sweet girl.Hector : I love my freaky little girlfriendMe during the second half of the book : Soooo maybe she's not as sweet and innocent as first implied.I feel bamboozled (sorry if I'm overusing this word lately). But in a good way, I think? So, this chick has a sex toy fetish. I'm sort of jealous that I didn't know as much about them as she did at her age. Was that TMI? Perhaps? Let's backtrack. *rewind*El [...]

    3. I've read every book by E. Reyes and it really saddens me to have to rate this story so low. I truly do enjoy her stories. However, this story fell flat for me. It was too long and I was bored a good portion of the book. I didn't feel a connection to the story or characters. A good portion of the story could have been cut out. Everything that happens in the last 20-30% should have happened in the first half of the book. What I missed about the 5th Street gang:1. I felt like Hector didn't quite l [...]

    4. THE BEST IN THE SERIES SO FARI have to admit I was a little disappointed initially as I was hoping Abel's story would be next. But this far exceeded all of my expectations. The characters were fabulous as was the plot. Hector was the perfect leading man. Handsome, strong with a soft centre. Charlee was a sweet shy girl. Who was so easy to like. This is not an easy book to review without giving the story away, so I will just say that this is romantic passionate and moving. I loved every page. Plu [...]

    5. 3.5. Elizabeth Reyes is a great writer. She writes with such a clear and honest voice. She has made these boys of 5th Street so adorably irresistible. The problem I have with this book is the character of Charlee. I really wanted to like Charlee but she behaves in such an immature manner - constantly jumping to conclusions and running away (or threatening to go home), it became annoying. She certainly has reason for her insecurities, but her unwillingness to give Hector the benefit of the doubt [...]

    6. Hector, Hector how you have grown up into another one of Elizabeth Reyes gourgous alpha males. Elizabeth another great story, I'm getting so excited now for Abel He intrigues me the most in this fantastic 5th Street Series

    7. The second book of this author and I give up. I don't like the h pining for the H until the 70% of the book. Not for me. Oh, and if you decide to be honest, don't lie to the H while telling him you don't like keeping secrets from him.

    8. I'm addicted to the 5th street boys!Hector, the baby of the bunch is now on a mission to make his big brother proud of him. This boy is something I was not expecting; he is smart, sexy and one hell of a chess player. Who knew that being a chess nerd would land him the love of his life? Hector sure didn't.This story captured me, it had so much real emotion that I was hooked. From the bullying, to the mom with expectations for her boys, the wanting his "projects" love interest, and the emotion of [...]

    9. Out of all Elizabeth Reyes books this is the most surprising in such a wonderful way! As an author she has stepped out of her comfort zone to bring us a genuine story about a multicultural relationship. Hector Ayala is the youngest partner of 5th Street Gym with mad boxing skills. As you can imagine he is handsome, built and can knock out his opponent with one punch. This automatically makes him HOT in my book. He’s also a player and pretty much unattainable. That is until sweet little Charlee [...]

    10. Elizabeth Reyes does it again! She created another story that captivated my heart and had me at the edge of my seat gnawing on a No 2 pencil wondering what cat was going to be drug out of the bag next. And let me tell you - those cats were surprising as all get out.Charlee is a super shy girl. She is so shy, that she was home schooled most of her life. She thinks that the reasons why she was shy were due to her extremely red and curly hair along with getting embarrassed whenever someone so much [...]

    11. This turned out to be a pleasant surprise for me.After reading Making You Mine, my first and only book by Elizabeth Reyes - and not really liking it- I wasn't really planning on giving the author another shot. After reading all of the rave reviews on this book, my curiosity finally got the best of me.I truly enjoyed this one. Was it a typical NA angsty romance? Well, yes, it was. But it was still a fantastic story. I was hesitant to continue to read it after the first introduction of Charlee. I a [...]

    12. 2.5 Stars!(Oh how I hate to see that!)Ok first let me start by saying that I am a huge fan of Elizabeth Reyes, she is one of my favorite authors in this particular genre. I have enjoyed all of her books, absolutely loved the Moreno Brothers series as well as the first two books in this series. Having said that I have to admit that this one was a bit of a disappointment. I love the character of Hector but I think I would have liked to have had Abel's story first, it would allow for Hector to grow [...]

    13. I'm such a huge fan of Reyes and love getting lost in her books. What woman wouldn't? The men in her world are off the charts bad-ass, sexy, alpha males who every woman dreams of! Her heroines are strong and independent and so easy to relate to! However, Hector's story really fell short. More than halfway through the book and Hector and Charlee still hadn't gotten anywhere. If it wasn't because I'm such a fan, I don't think I would've finished this book; it was that exhausting. With that said, I [...]

    14. I was a bit disappointed as I thought Abel's story was next, but I was certainly not disappointed once I read Hector's story.Elizabeth Reyes is a gifted storyteller. Her writing just flows. Even though I wasn't interested in the Chess playing aspect of the storyline, I was never bored.I loved Charlee and Hector. Although they are only 18 and 19 and the book did have a YA feel because it is set around college life, they are both mature characters. The pacing of the story is spot on. We get to fee [...]

    15. RATING CLARIFICATION : 2.5 starsIt truly pains me to Rate this book this low, because I absolutely love all of Elizabeth Reyes's other books. I think she is an absolutely wonderful author. But something fell short with this book. I hate writing bad reviews so I am not going to. My only comment with this book is that I thought the main theme of the story was dragged out way too long and that seemed to force the ending to be rushed. With that said I am still looking forward to reading Abel's story [...]

    16. Well just finished Reading Hector's story and wasn't disappointed. Really enjoyed reading this book always love a happy ending in a book. Well done Elizabeth on yet another amazing book. I read all of her books so far and look forward for all that's to come.

    17. I've read all of Elizabeth Reyes's books, and this is my absolute favorite. I love both main and supporting characters. I love the opposites attract. I love the chess connection! The middle was little angsty, but I don't mind that too much. The chemistry makes up for it.

    18. I can't decide between 2.5 or 3 stars.I love Elizabeth Reyes books but this one fell short for me. I was bored and annoyed for a good percentage of the book. I will still read anything by Elizabeth and I’m really looking forward to Abel’s book.

    19. ★★★★★ 5TH STREET STARSAlright if you've read the prior 2 books in the series Noah (book #1) and Gio(book #2,my personal fave) then you are familiar with Hector.if not go read them now and you will definitely be back to read Hector's story. Do you have to read the prior books to enjoy Hector? No but in the first 2 books you get to know him an you'll enjoy this story more with a bit background knowledge about Hector and the rest of the guys. "Obviously, he was one of those types of guys. [...]

    20. I absolutely loved this book. Hector is my favorite so far out of all of the sth street guys. Also fell in love with Charlee. She is shy and sweet and is completely swept off her feet when she first meets Hector. Loved who much of a badass Hector is and he plays chess hot and smart what more could a girl ask for! Charlee recieves mixed signals from Hector and thinks they are on the same page when they share a kiss. However Hector feels guitly because his friend walter is hung up on Charlee and b [...]

    21. After the emotional roller coaster that was Gio I was a tad reluctant to read Hector even though he is my favourite of the 5th Street boys. Gio was a hard book to get through but I am pleased to report Hector was a much more satisfying read for me and had all the charm that the first book had, in spades. Hector Ayala is the youngest of the 5th Street gang. He is cocky and abrasive yet also charming. He does not believe in settling down and has a reputation as a bit of a womanizer. However, Hecto [...]

    22. Oh no, what, no more 5th Street fighters to read? I’m going to go through some serious withdrawal until Abel’s story is released! Hector’s story was another great read written by author, Elizabeth Reyes. Clap, clap, clapHector, always the player in high school, never one to commit to just one girl, meets red-head, blue-eyed Charlotte Brennan. She’s quiet and shy, but he’s oh so tempted to go after her. Unfortunately, though for once, he’s trying to be the good guy. An old high school [...]

    23. Okay, well, let me start by saying that Elizabeth Reyes is definitely one of my favorite authors. All of her series' will keep you riveted to the storyline. That being said, I must admit, that while reading Noah, and Gio was a thrill for me, I didn't expect to enjoy Hector as much. Of course, I knew Ms. Reyes would not disappoint, but Hector was one of my least favorite characters in the other two novels. I felt that he was a big mouth punk, who always stuck his foot in his mouth, and got everyo [...]

    24. Once again Elizabeth Reyes has created another must read. I was dying for this book to come out and damm it was well worth the wait. If you know me you know I'm a big fan of anything Elizabeth write and this was just as expected EPIC ;) Charlotte aka Charlee has been home schooled most of her life due to the fact that she never fit in or had any friends apart from her BFF Drew , you see Charlee has bright red hair and freckles and bright blue eyes. every time she did try public schools it never [...]

    25. I do love Elizabeth Reyes’ stories, I know what to expect and I haven’t been overly disappointed yet. Sure, some are better than others, but I am pretty much swept away in her world every time. This story is about Hector and Charlee. We have met Hector in the previous 5th Street novels – Noah and Gio and I would really recommend reading this series in order. You will have the background on the rest of the 5th Street guys…oh h and you wouldn’t want to miss out on Noah and Gio…gh! Pure [...]

    26. I want my own Hector! I loved this book! I like all the guys Elizabeth Reyes writes, and Hector is no different. Except, I maybe even liked Hector more. In this 5th Street novel, we have Hector and Charlee. If you've read Noah and Gio, then you know Hector. If you haven't, then read those first because they're good, and you get a great background with the rest of the crew. Anyways, Hector is a tough, sexy, Mexican-American boxer/chess genius. Charlee is a sweet, innocent lady that Hector meets t [...]

    27. This book was a good (not quick) read, but not a book I will probably re-read. It is my least favorite of the Elizabeth Reyes books so far and here's why: it reads very young adult for me, and there was a huge contrast between the ages of the characters, their actions and their emotions. It took more than half the book for the two main characters to actually form a relationship and then the "I love you" and sex came out of nowhere. (view spoiler)[It seemed completely ridiculous to me, based on t [...]

    28. I have to say that I really enjoy this author and was anticipating Hector. I couldn't wait to see the brooding man he was going to become. Unfortunately it just fell flat. I believe a lot of it was because of Charlee. She honestly annoyed the heck out of me and came off so weak. I understand she was shy, very antisocial and hermit like but it was just too much. I had no connection to her at all. Hector on the other hand had a nice development throughout the book. The story overall was enjoyable [...]
