    1. This is a great YA book and I’m excited to see what the author has in store for us next.Logan, or Lo, is a teen girl working at her aunt’s consignment shop when an eccentric magician drops off a mysterious bag, claiming that he didn’t want what was inside. When Lo’s best friend Emily shows up, the two girls pry open the bag and out pops a genie. Unlike Aladdin’s genie, this one, Eugene, looks like your average teen guy. Since the friends opened the bag and released him together, they m [...]

    2. Who doesn't want a genie--especially a hot one--to grant their every wish? This book is sweet, fun, and heartbreaking all at once.

    3. My Wishful Thinking is an interesting take on the genie tale involving two best friends Logan and Emily, and one adorably cute genie, Eugene, plus a couple of others that play big roles. The main character, also our narrator, is Logan Carter, a girl who works for her Aunt Marcia at her shop Rags to Ritzy. She's the laid back kind of girl who is thoughtful, talks to her mannequin friends and makes wishes, genie or no genie. It was fun seeing her and Em together, being best friends in general. It w [...]

    4. When I began the book, I had second thoughts about the book, but they disappeared almost immediately. Everyone knows what a genie is wants to have one, but that is just wishful thinking. In this story, wishful thinking becomes reality as Em and Logan find they jointly are masters of a genie. Having a genie would be great, but having to share a genie? That might not be so easy, especially since both have to say the wish at the same time. The author has developed a creative plot where two ordinary [...]

    6. I started reading this on a rather warm and sunny day, I was looking for something light and fun. I decided that this might satisfy my hunger. And I can surely tell you that I have not regretted it one bit. This book was hilarious at times, it is a chicklit with a paranormal twist. The characters were very enjoyable Logan, is a skeptic, even though she doesn't pass up the opportunity to make a wish. She is skeptical about lots of things in life but it gets worst when a genie pops up out of a bag [...]

    7. When I first started reading this book, I was pleased with it. Ms. Delisle was able to rather deftly draw the characters so that you felt as if you knew them. You understood why the main character, Logan, was indulging in wishful thinking and you understood the relationship between the best friends. Even the introduction of the genie into the story line was handled well. Why only three stars, then? My first, relatively minor problem was that the moral consequences of their wishes - for example, a [...]

    8. What if you could have anything. but. I liked this book for all the lessons about how if you had the power to wish for anything, would you? Would you feel happy taking revenge on people? It shows two young girls, one who has really bad esteem and another who probably keeps her around so she feels like the superior of the two. To be honest I was not a fan of Emily. It shows the differences in the two girls and when you ask what is really important having a great SAT score won't help you make goo [...]

    9. Who wouldn't want a genie to grant their every wish?! My Wishful Thinking is a fun, light-hearted romance with an insightful message. Would you really want all your wishes granted in an instant? (I think I would, actually, lol) With serious issues interspersed with plain old magical fun, My Wishful Thinking is a great read!

    10. The main character never really learns anything. Where are the consequences? Just drama and then a happily ever after. The concept had potential, but it flamed out quickly. And as always, swearing in books drives me crazy.

    11. I think my actual rating on this book is 3 1/2 stars. This is a cute read. I enjoyed the story and liked the happy ending. The teenagers did at times work a nerve for me, but that is teen-aged behavior so I can't really fault the book for that. All in all it was enjoyable.

    12. I really enjoyed this book. The main character, Logan, I found was very relatable in a lot of ways. The only thing is that there were a few mistakes punctuation wise and some words were not capitalized when they should be. It's a shame, because it really was a good story.

    13. This was really fun and quick to read. The only reason for four stars is it seemed a little heavy handed in some waysbut that aside, I would love to see more from this author!

    14. Cute bookIt was cute. Acceptable for teenage audience. Some cursing in it. Writing was ok. Could have been more suspenseful in the end

    15. Fun, unique, entertaining and light! Written by a talented storyteller. Shel Delisle hooked my interest from page one. Will definitely be looking for more from this author.
