    1. A lovely book overall. I just wish that the language used wasn't so colloquial. For example instead of using wasn't, was not should have been used. Oooh also. I love the cover model. so plus points for that ;)

    2. My review contains spoilers and they're are mostly my thoughts as I went with the bookHave to be honest here that I’ve never read anything by Leigh Bale, until I saw this freakin’ GORGEOUS cover that just sucked me right in, which is why I jumped into reading The Silken Cord. I also love medieval romance. The starting of this book was excellent, I got hooked from the first chapter. But as mentioned, it is more of an inspirational story than the kind of intense and hot romance I’m used to w [...]

    3. For some strange reason I saw that a friend of mine was reading this book(Yes Kath, that would be you) and the story and cover just sucked me in and so I bought iton the spot! I don't normally do that until after a friend has read it.I will say I was not disappointed! I really enjoyed this book. It was fast pace, clean and kept me turning pages. I liked the main characters and I liked their story. I thought the author put the pieces together pretty well. I also like the fact that it wasn't dirty [...]

    4. 3.5The medieval genre is quickly becoming a favorite of mine. You just gotta love those hot knights that sweep you off your feet and save the day. I thought this book had a great medieval feel to it, with a fun plot. I liked our leads, Ariana and Wulfgar. I liked their story and their relationship. I also loved the cover. Content: Clean.

    5. 3.5 StarsThis was such a nice book. Had a lot of fun reading it. Loved the action. My problem was with the romance. It was just a bit too insta-love for my liking. I know they had some history but in my opinion, not enough to warrant such fast declaration of feelings.Even though everything was resolved perfectly, it fit the story just fine, so I didn't mind. I liked both Wulfgar and Ariana. She knew what she wanted and what had to be done to get it done, and she sees it through. She may not have [...]

    6. 4.5 stars - a very satisfying love story. I happened upon this book when searching for another author. It was on sale and I loved the cover (regardless of the saying its impossible not to judge a book by its cover!) so I nabbed it and am so glad I did. Purchased another of her books to start reading today :)

    7. Kathy you have done it again!! This was such a cute book. I loved our "slave". It was a little predictable but I still enjoyed the story.

    8. I enjoyed this tale of a Welsh Princess enlisting the aide of treasonist English Lord put on the slave block to free her 7 year old brother the King. Her men, his men, both of them have to put away years of animosity to free the boy & find evidence of the Lord's innocence.Lots of action, compelling journey, pearls of wisdom for future leaders. However, anytime there was difficulty prayers to God & it would be answered. A bit trite.

    9. I loved this medieval romance. The history comes alive throughout the story with love, honor and humility in the characters. It had just the right amount of good, clean romance. Loved the cover on this book!

    10. This book would probably get 3-1/2 stars if we could rate that way. I don't normally read medieval romances because of the sex but this one was a sweet, Christian story and I liked the characters. I'll admit--I read it because of the cover picture!

    11. The first book in the series was fairly promising. I read this one in anticipation of it being even better. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. The entire book felt rushed, shallow and disappointing. It had the bones to be a good read, but just wasn't flushed out well enough.

    12. Really enjoyed reading this medieval story: battles, wars, good/bad, love and honor. Great characters and a storyline that drew me in.

    13. REALLY enjoyed this book from start to finish!! Clean romance, honor, faith, and fighting for justice :) Definitely recommend this one, two thumbs up!!

    14. Between 3 and 4 stars. Clean. A bit instalove-ish but decent action. The secret passageway had me holding me breathk!

    15. This medieval story was predictable but enjoyable. The battles, rescues, oaths and knights were all beautifully described. I like the style of Leigh Bale and would read another book of hers again.
