    1. When I first started this book, it seemed a little slow going for me. I stayed with it though and was definitely glad that I did. While certain aspects of the story reminded me of the Black Dagger Brotherhood or the Dark Hunter series this book was a story all its own. Not often do you read a book like this where the female lead is so strong that she doesn't rely much on the males. The characters are likable and not way over the top like some can be. I look forward to reading more about Jenna an [...]

    2. Demon King’s Desire by J.L. SheppardMmmmm….who knew a demon could be so damn sexy? Lucas is hot, old-fashioned, and oh, yeah, the king of demons! He’s fighting a war that started in on his home plane of Treconomia. He’s working desperately to ensure demons, angels, werewolves, faeries, and vampires can all live in peace with humans. Otherwise the human race is toast, as in serve them up on a toast, they’re goners!Jenna is a reporter for the New York News. What she doesn’t realize is [...]

    3. Four sisters torn apart after losing their mother, not knowing that they are fated to be the doom or salvation of the new century. The first sister we meet is Jenna Jenson. She’s a crime reporter for the local paper and uses her resources to search for her missing sisters. She is an average girl with few extra abilities but her roommate Clyde keeps her grounded. Lucus is the demon king who has lost his whole family to the Malums, evil immortals, and has been fighting them ever since. He is dedi [...]

    5. i really enjoyed this book! Its showing demons in a good light - yeah you read that right - A GOOD LIGHT. Theres obviously the evil demons around causing mayhem, and Lucas - the Demon King is head of a Demon Guardian Council - a mixture of beings dedicated to eradicating the evil demons who want to destroy mankind and rule.Jenna is a normal 25 year old gal who works at a newspaper. Shes spent the last many years searching for her 3 sisters that she was split up from when they were young - their p [...]

    7. The first book in the Elemental Sisters series is an intriguing and wonderful paranormal world. The classic good vs. evil plot is put to good use in the making of this fantastic story in this enthralling world and I was totally caught up in from the very beginning. There are surprises that keep you keep you guessing, action to keep you on your toes and great characters that I want to know more about. See my full review at:theromancereviews/view

    8. This is a paranormal romance, the first book in the Elemental Sisters series. This can be read as a stand alone, but I want to see what happens next with Jenna. This is for adults only it does have some sexual content. I did enjoy the book even though it was slow to start, hang in there it is worth the wait. Also the men seem to be described similar, but whom cares right, muscled and sexy can not go wrong with that! I really enjoyed how Jenna was a not a pansy, she stood up for herself and held [...]

    9. ★★★★ 4.5 stars!From the three books I've read from this author, this one has to be my favorite so far! I read the spin-off series, Fated Immortals before starting the Elemental Sisters, and although you don't need to read this before that one, I would recommend you do. Coming in I knew some of the characters that were mentioned in the other two books, but I felt like this book had a few extra details that made me understand better why the war was going on, who are the demon guardian's [...]

    10. 3 stars = I liked the book. Unfortunately I can't give this 3.5 stars :(.The story starts of with a ton of descriptions - names, physical attributes, title, etc. I found this a little overwhelming, as I wasn't sure how important these details would be later on. I also found some details in the book repetitive (two characters are both listed as 6'5" in close proximity, certain words and phases). This wasn't necessarily a bad thing, but it did make me think perhaps with a bit more editing these th [...]

    11. A Demon King’s Desire: J.L SheppardReview By: I Heart Books reviewer Jessi Belle#3 starsTo begin with I enjoyed this book. I enjoyed all the details and the imagery it created. It allowed me to get “set” into the story. Although some of the descriptions were used excessively and kind of left me feeling like all the demons were cut from the same mould.I loved Jenna and her attitude, but some of the other characters seemed to be lacking substance. Lucas, as an example, seemed to be lacking s [...]

    12. Demon King’s Desire is the enchanting tale of two lovers. Lucas is an almighty powerful demon lord. We also have an everyday normal human reporter Jenna. (Or so we thought) ;D Though it started a little slow in the beginning, it was okay for me. If you were able to deal with this only at first, you were rewarded with an amazing story of two lovers. Many disputes, lover’s quarrels happened along the way, which adds to the overall appeal of this novel. Whether you were on the edge of your seat [...]

    13. I just read this book and I loved it! I would recommend you read this book before Burdened by Desire. I love all the different paranormal characters working together. Jenna's character was strong and I liked that because sometimes in paranormal books the women come off as weak and unable to take care of themselves.

    14. Good story. Liked the demons being good guys. Interesting twist with the other Demon King. Jenna was strong to a point. Clyde was a little annoying, but I'm guessing he has a purpose in other stories. I was glad Jenna found her sister. Enjoyable story. Hoping there will be another one

    15. **I received this book in exchange for an honest review via GoodReads**I liked all the details, that helps me to a better picture in my head of the story. Though there are couple where it was almost like the same details applied to all the demons (or any male character), it would have been nice if they varied a bit more. Some of the dialog/reactions came off as choppy, which made it harder for me to wrap their moods/actions and conversations into a smooth flow. I really liked how the Demons were [...]
