Each spread features an illustration of the bird and some information about the species including what kind of noise it makes.I found this title a bit of a misnomer. The birds included are not just songbirds, they also include waterfowl, birds of prey, and various sundry others.     2. A charming, informative and entertaining book that any birdwatcher would love. The book contains 52 different birds painted in a simplistic but absorbing way with a small amount of information about each bird. I saw it in a bookshop and had to buy it even though there are far more informative and detailed bird books out there. It isn't designed as a bird guide but simply a nice book for a fan of birds to enjoy
