    1. Uprising is a fantastic follow up to Winged. Possibly better than the first in the series if only because the story has gotten so much more action packed. The story absolutely consumed me. I could barely stop reading to take care of basic human needs. My husband got quite a few, shhh I am reading. L.M. Pruitt does a stunning job of making you care for the characters and yet still keeping the reader from knowing enough about them to know where they are going next. There was nothing about Uprising [...]

    2. In the battle between the forces of Darkness and Light, sometimes there are shades of gray and not everything is what it appears to be. Eternity can seem like , well, an eternity. UPRISING continues the story of the WINGED and, while not entirely necessary, I'd recommend reading that first.Fans of L.M. Pruitt won't be disappointed. UPRISING is a rollercoaster ride of ups and downs and unexpected twists and turns that's hard to put down.Who wants to go to heaven? Caution: Contains adult material [...]

    3. Simply enthralling! I will never give away even the tiniest spoiler of this book, but I will tell you I was engrossed in the book from the very first page. I fell in love with Winged and this book just took that love even higher. With every turn of the page you just know that something new and exciting is going to happen. You feel the love, the anger, the hurt, the torment, etc. of every character. I just can't wait to see what the future holds in store for the story line.

    4. Bought this book and read it within the day. It picks up from where the first one left with the same fast pace, easy to follow but extremely adsorbing story line. It is another fantastic book from an amazing author, and this series does not disappoint. If you enjoyed Winged you will love Uprising. Looking forward for the third.

    5. 4.5 starsOnce again, author L.M. Pruitt takes us into the world of angels and demons, lovers and enemies, the world of Joanne Watson.Joanne fell off the Talmadge Bridge to her death only to find that a normal boring life is not the worst thing that can happen to a person. Now one of the Winged, partner to archangel Raphae,l and one of the best demon hunters around, Joanne is finding that life after death is more complicated and dangerous than life before ever could be. Sent from one job to the n [...]

    6. Uprising is the second book in the Winged series, and picks up where Winged left off. The newly winged Joanne has hard choices to make. Does she take up with the other winged and join the cause or does she remain alongside the archangels, especially the one she is contracted to?Once again, I find myself loving the characters in this series. In the first book Winged, I was thoroughly fascinated with the archangels as well as the other winged. In Uprising, the feeling has only grown because Pruitt [...]

    7. Yes! Only a single nub in this whole book, so it was much more tolerable. Overall shocking turn of events in the story, but I think I like the character Joanne is turning out to be. The others, though. questionable. Great book for romance and paranormal/action lovers.

    8. I LOVED Winged. It was such a unique book, with a different idea about angels and the afterlife. Book two, Uprising, picks up right where Winged left off. And it did not disappoint. Based on the way things ended, I had a lot of ideas where Uprising was going to go. I wasn't entirely wrong however I wasn't entirely correct either. Which I like. The more I read the harder I am to surprise, but this series does it.Raphael keeps pissing me off however. I LOVED him so much in Winged, but in this book [...]

    9. ok second book in the seriesis is very different to the first. You tend to forget that youre reading about Angels and the Winged and all that is supposed to be good.Theres a rebellion starting. Some of the Winged dont think theyre being treated fairly, and the archangels are mearly brushing their feelings aside and ignoring themt a wise move.A line is drawn and the fact is either "youre with them, or your against them".ere is no "Switzerland" that Joanne wants to be.As with the first book there [...]

    10. Uprising picks up where we left off in Winged. Joanne is now Winged and going out on assignments to kill Demons. It isn’t far into this book that we see difficulties lie ahead for Joanne and her friends. Choices must be made. Will Joanne join the resistance against the Archangels or will she side with the Archangels since she is already in contract with one? Try as Joanne might she is attempting to stay neutral to everyone. Though she finds staying neutral isn’t what anyone wants. She is pus [...]

    11. Uprising picks up where Winged left off. I feel that even hinting at the content of this book would be too much of a spoiler. I just have to say that I liked Winged very much and in my opinion, Uprising is better. Joanne and all of the characters have such an emotional depth that I have to care about what happens to them. There is more action, a faster pace, more emotional turmoil, everything we loved about Winged, but more! This is a gripping, action-packed, sexy episode in the series and I sug [...]

    12. The book was good, but better towards the end, it segued well to the final book. This book went through the motions of war and betrayal while still having the most explicit sexual encounters. The politics of war as well as moral belief and judgements stood out for me. The main character also grows and becomes a bit more outside of her shell becoming a fierce warrior as proven by her extensive training.

    13. This was another good book in the series. There was a little too much going on with Joanne but I'm sure I can keep up.

    14. I spent the weekend reading the first two Winged books and actually had a hard time putting them down. I am a fan of the author’s Jude Magdalyn series so it was a no brainer that I wanted to read these books.I found Winged to be a 5 star book, at least I thought so. It was a really different spin on the other angel books I have read. I chose to review this one because this book is the newest of the two. Hopefully I won’t get confused between the two books!Joanne Watson died while saving a ba [...]

    15. I would actually rate Uprising as 4.5 stars. Fantastic read. Block enough time as you won't want to put it down. See my full review at puretextuality
