    1. I remember when Asher (now age 10) used to LOVE reading books about monster trucks and watching clips of them on YouTube. So I was not surprised when Jasper (3yo) picked out this book at the library. We read it together and while he seemed to like the pictures, he showed no particular affinity for these large vehicles. Photos are pretty good.

    2. Monster Trucks serve no purpose to our lives except entertainment. The other books in the series are worker machines (and I suppose some of the race car books are for entertainment too), but monster trucks really are just for show. It is funny on page 6, a monster truck is in an arena jumping some cars and all the people in the stands have their cameras up taking a picture. (just a funny note). I find that more interesting than the actual monster truck. Although I have no use for monster trucks [...]

    3. Monster trucks are cool to watch. They race around a dirt track depending on the venue. When the driver completes the race he/she stands on top of their truck so the crowd can cheer. The monster truck tires are super huge; bigger than a kid. Monster trucks can jump over other trucks and cars, they can also go in the air. THey even flip sometimes after a cool stunt.lesson: compare/contrast----monster truck vs. a dodge ram pick up truck
