    1. I love romantic suspense and I'm always looking for a good one. This one came highly rated and so I one-clicked. I wanted it to be fabulous and I wanted to say, "Wow, I love it!" The storyline was captivating enough -- nothing new really but had good potential. And the fact that it's a friends to lovers - second chance for love type trope is always a winning combination for me. One spunky and sassy very determined reporter goes after her next big story -- one that includes helping save the reput [...]

    2. With her high class French mother and celebrity father, Veronique (Ronnie!) was one of those girls who seemed to have it all. Then her father died tragically and her life changed forever. She made it through with the help of some very special people. Her loving mother, her caring stepfather (although she didn't appreciate him as much as she could have), her caring friends (her heart sisters) and Nick, a very special camp counselor. The years have gone by. Nick has emerged from a messy divorce wi [...]

    3. I wanted something simple and feel-good after finally finishing Betwixt. Heart Raider certainly was simple in the sense that you could see the ending a mile off. I made a note for myself six pages in to chapter fourteen with a sarcastic prediction of the ending. And there, after twenty five chapters and an epilogue, Raider ended in exactly that way. This is the problem with Raider in a nutshell. It is a textbook cheesy romance and the plot plays out in a thoroughly predictable way. Once you've r [...]

    4. 4.5 StarsI really enjoyed this book. It was well written and the characters were nicely developed. I highly recommend this read as well as the series. I have read this twice and enjoyed it even more the second time around.Veronique "Ronnie" Whitcomb is a fun-loving, daredevil of a TV reporter. Playing it safe is not in her mindset. She thinks nothing of placing herself in danger. Ronnie has often thought about and followed the career of the young man, Nick Cameron, whom she fell in love with as [...]

    5. I loved this book, I love Veronique and Nicks story. I love the story and that Veronique is a very independent strong willed woman. This book has it all romance, humor, and suspense. I could not read this book fast enough because I couldn't wait to see how it worked out and I was not disappointed. I even teared up at the end because I was so happy how it works out. I can't wait to read the next book in this series. Sophia Knightly is a fantastic author and I have loved every book that she has wr [...]

    6. Wonderful Book!!! I loved this book, I love Veronique and Nicks Story!!! Heart Raider was FANTASTIC!!! I loved all of it!! Ronnie and Nicks' chemistry, Ronnie's smart mouth and quite tongue and Nick's broodiness and the way he tries to push this firecracker away!! I finished this book within a day and a half but could have finished it in a day if I didn't have to work the next morning! haha!! And it usually takes me FOREVER to finish a book because I am not the fastest reader. Cannot wait to rea [...]

    7. When we were teenagers we all had a crush on someone older, we dreamed of the day that person would see us as grown up and fall instantly in love with us too. Of course most us move on from that little day dream as we grown up and fall in love with someone more our age and more suited. But for Veronique she fell for her camp counsellor when she was just 13 years old, and fifteen years later she is still head over heals for I'll-make-hotter-than-hot-and-you-will-need-more-than-the-rain-to-cool- d [...]

    8. Slick's review posted on Guilty Pleasures Book ReviewsReview copy provided for an honest review.4 StarsI love when author’s stretch their wings and write out of their comfort zones and in Heart Raider, Sophia Knightly has done that. She normally writes fairly light hearted, often funny, romantic comedies. In this book she offers a more serious romance with some danger added in and while there are some humorous moments, it’s not the focus. I found this story to be intriguing, sexy, and entert [...]

    9. Another great story from Sophia Knightly. This had a little of everything, old friends, a girl’s first crush, and jealousy. With some suspense mixed in.Veronique Whitcomb is bound and determined to get her story, even if it kills her. She knows there is more to it than what has already been in the news. Veronique doesn’t believe what has been said about Nick Cameron, the guy she has had a crush on since she was a girl in camp, and knows he’s innocent. Now she just has to prove it and convi [...]

    10. This was just OKFortunately for me it was free on (kindle) so all though I hoped for more at least I'm not out any money The synopsis was good and I was definitely intrigued. But unfortunately the story fell short for me.This was truly the most corny romantic suspense I've ever read. There was not much plot or character development either; and for me being an avid reader of romance and romantic suspense those are two very necessary elements. There was potential here, with moments where I was ex [...]

    11. I really enjoyed this book, could not finish it quick enough. It was easy to follow Veronique and Nick's story. Veronique is independent and not afraid of a challenge. I love the fact that she never gave up on Nick, and never thought bad things about him. Nick just wants to be left alone, but "Ronnie" won't allow that, she wants him to simply live his life to the fullest, and stop hiding away. She makes him laugh and smile again, and that it just what Nick needs. A great love story, with romance [...]

    12. Let me say at the beginning I wasn't thrilled about the story I wasn't getting the story between the main characters but it kept me reading so, it didn't take more than a few chapters to hooked me.The story is lovely and I just love this corny ending and let me be a SPOILER a well deserved happy ending. What will you expectThe developed of a love (that start 15 years earlier) during a hurricane and the days after it. Some journalistic affairs that lead to disclose and unmask a truth. And a few o [...]

    13. Don't waste your timeThe heroine is impulsive, brainless, irrational, and immature. The hero's housekeeper is impulsive, spoiled, and selfish. The hero garners sympathy if only because he's the object of desire for these two completely unlikable women. I made it only 34% through the book before disgust with the characters forced me to quit. This book is not worth you time; find something better to read.

    14. Another winner from Sophia Knightly. This is a great book, it had me from start to finish. I would totally recommend this book if you like a little mystery and a happily ever after.

    15. Although the story is predictable, no surprise there since it is a romance, after all, I really warmed up to the main characters. From the beginning I liked Veronique's witty insight and optimistic outlook. Nick is your typical testosterone pumping male that every girl dreams about. What's not to like. Throw them together and love is bound to bloom, or at least some facsimile thereof. Editing needs some cleaning up, and the secondary cast of characters could use a tad more fleshing out. But in t [...]

    16. This book was good in some aspects and just ridiculous in others. What got me to read through the whole thing was mainly because I bought this book and I was damned if I wasn't going to read it. The book is told in third person omniscient point of view, which is pretty nice. Not only do we know the thoughts and feelings of Ronnie and Nick, but we also get a peek into Daisy's head. I really liked only two characters. Ronnie and Daisy.Ronnie is a static character. She's a recently shamed TV report [...]

    17. "Heart Raider" was the last book I read before 2015 comes to it's end, but never had the chance to write my thoughts and feelings about it. Now, after five days since I finish reading it, it's the time to sit on my personal corner and leave my mind go back and remember what happened in the story.Veronique Whitcomb and Nick Cameron knowing each other for years. Veronique was a thirteen years old teenager that summer, at the Camp Merry Cascades, when Nick was one of the canselors there. Handsome a [...]

    18. I am giving this review on behalf of Kats Book Promotions/ Katsindiebookblog. This is a really great story. It has its suspense, romance, and definitely some really hot moments! Nick is basically thrown to the wolves when a huge scandal comes into play and his name is all over it. So the only thing he believes he can do is disappear from all the media and sit back to contemplate on how he can fix these issues. Then comes in Ronnie, a long time crush on Nick as well as a risk taking TV Reporter. [...]

    19. 3.5 starsI really liked the story and the characters. Nick's recovering from a particularly nasty divorce in which his ex-wife got control of his charitable foundation. Veronique (Ronnie) has had a crush on Nick since her years at summer camp where he was a counselor. After getting demoted for reporting erroneous information, Ronnie is reduced to reporting for a newspaper. She never believed the accusations against Nick and so she did her own investigation. What she found could change everything. [...]

    20. Another great story from Sophia Knightly. This had a little of everything, old friends, a girl’s first crush, and jealousy. With some suspense mixed in.Veronique Whitcomb is bound and determined to get her story, even if it kills her. She knows there is more to it than what has already been in the news. 21. I am hooked on books by author, Sophia Knightly. I just love her simple and yet so entertaining way she tells a story. This book, is so far, my favorite by her.The "Hero" is the dashing and reclusive billionaire, Nick Cameron. He has retreated to his island getaway and has no need for friends, especially women. He was betrayed by his ex-wife and ex-best friend. Enters, Ronnie Whitcomb, his former acquaintance that he knew from Summer Camp and his trusted lawyer's step-daughter. Ronnie steams her [...]

    22. This was ok. If you are looking for a story with depth you may end up disappointed like me.The characters and the storyline seemed interesting enough, but once the story got going things seemed rushed and everything just tied up so quickly.Ronnie bothered me. She had good intensions, but she was hard for me to support. I like a confident woman, but one that seems to be sarcastic and careless is not my ideal heroine. She was a rebellious child and she continued that into her adult life. Nick is a [...]

    23. I just finished reading Heart Raider and really enjoyed the author’s story. It was an easy, quick read and one that kept my interest from start to finish. The main character, Veronique, comes across as a free-spirit who possesses a sassy demeanor and isn’t afraid to go after what she wants. She is a career journalist who uses her skills investigating stories and reporting the facts. One story Veronique happens to follow was about her teen camp counselor, Nick, who was publically humiliated b [...]

    24. Well, once a reporter always a reporter- even when she wasn't trying to be. The main female character puts her life in danger by snooping into things that should right wrongs but it seems like a lot is against her. I do like the hurricane because it is the excuse to get things going. There is love, jealousy, broken trust, and a bit of mystery. There is a happy ending and can be read as a stand alone book. This is the first book of the series and I've read the first three before writing this revie [...]

    25. HEART RAIDER by Sophia Knightly was an intriguing tale with several layers of deception, seduction, and plotting by devious females all out for a piece of Nick Cameron, the reclusive billionaire. Lucky for him, Veronique (Ronnie), the intrepid reporter was determined to save him. I really liked Veronique's sassy, unfiltered personality. It kept the story going just waiting to see what she'd say next. And who could blame her for her lifelong crush on the sexy Nick. I love romances where the girl [...]

    26. The second you start reading you won't be able to stop. An alpha hero and headstrong heroine will have you so absorbed in their story.Veronique “Ronnie” Whitcomb had a child's crush on her camp counselor Nick Cameron when she was younger. As an adult those feelings have matured into love. After a public scandal Nick has been in hiding and having any one much less a reporter, even if she's an old acquaintance, is the last thing he wants.Ronnie has always believed Nick was innocent and has set [...]
