    1. Portuguese is a cuisine I have not had experience with, but this book is perfect to introduce someone to it. The recipes range from very easy to much more complex, and bits of history and information on culture and cooking techniques are included. 2. Beautiful cookbook. Photos, design, layout, text are attractive. The recipes themselves are detailed, instructive and best of all - the end result - the food - is delicious. I've enjoyed trying recipes in this book everything from Portuguese Roasted Potatoes to Corn Bread. The author's style of writing is inviting and entertaining. I am thankful Ms. Azevedo provided this wonderful introduction and celebration of Portuguese cooking.
