    1. Actual Rating: 3.5/5This review can originally be found at The Twins Read.Voirey Cruz finds her new home unsettling. There are birds that seem to record her every move, the strangeness of the family of caretakers, but especially by Griffin, the cute guy who seems determined to keep her at arm's length. The inn was the last purchase of her deceased father, and Voirey seems to know that something is amiss - because something's out there and it seems that it knows what it wants: her.Into Darkness P [...]

    2. I read the author's first title and I liked it immensely. I don't usually read the urban fantasy genre but I should have known that wouldn't matter. As soon as I started with this novel, I was completely engrossed in it. I read it in one night, and have since read it again. Voirey is a very compelling heroine. Her relationship with Griffin is mesmerizing. They are very realistic, and I was right there with them, in the thick of all the problems around them, rooting for them. The story is surprisin [...]

    3. If I hadn't read this the same day as Gilchrist's other book, Glitch, I think I would have enjoyed it more. Glitch set the bar very high, making Into Darkness Peering a bit of a disappointment. It's still really well-written and interesting, but I'd rather read another adult romantic comedy from her than paranormal YA. For one thing, her adult characters (in Glitch) are just more complete and intriguing than her teenagers. For another, I didn't love her angsty rebellious heroin or that her tatte [...]

    4. I know the author and she's totally going to hate me for saying this, but this book reminded me so much of "Twilight"y better! I seriously think that there is the steamiest (appropriate) kiss scene ever in this book! Woah, it was hot! I really want things to work out between Voirey and Griffin, but I heard there won't be a second book coming out anytime soon

    5. I would call this a 4.5 more than a straight 4. I enjoyed the story, can not wait until the next installment, and found the premise different and interesting. Some of the transitions seemed abrupt, and at times, the characters seemed shallow, but I would recommend Into Darkness Peering to any urban fantasy lover. I adore the title.
