    1. The Family That Stays Together by Deborah Plummer is a mystery that slowly draws you in. Though it starts slowly it does end up drawing you into the mystery surrounding the main characters long time friend when her ex boyfriend is murdered. It's part of a series so you might be slightly confused at first and some of the backgrounds of the characters are missing. But the fact that one of the main characters is an ex nun is definitely interesting. Also I liked the authors take on religion and fait [...]

    2. Though this book is the second in what appears to be a series, it stands alone well. I wanted more back story on the "sisters", so I find myself interested in going back for book 1. Ms. Plummer Bussey has created a great character in former nun Kathy Carpenter (currently a wife and practicing psychologist) as well as her bubbly sister Tina. The two sisters attempt to protect a family friend, a television celebrity who has been accused of murder. Scandal and trouble abound. Kathy is challenged to [...]

    3. Deborah Plummer Bussey does it again! The author tends to start slow making sure you have a full understanding of the characters in the book but after that you will not be able to stop turning the pages. Like her first book, They Still Call Me Sister, sisters Kathy and Tina are still a pair, but this time they are in pursuit of the killer of their best friends ex-fiancé. The fact that one of the sisters is a former nun makes you think about things in a new light, its so easy to become one of th [...]

    4. The Family That Stays TogetherLove that the family sticks together in time of need but I did find the characters a bit confusing.Seems this might be a series and not a stand alone book so I felt left out not knowing their past. The sisters TIna and Kathy are hot on the trail to find out who murdered the ex but they find themselves on the hot seat trying to help. Liked how the clues are given. There are a lot of other characters that play a part in helping them.I received this book from Net Galley [...]

    5. I was chosen to receive this book from - First Reads (6/28/13) Thanks First Reads and thanks to Sami at JKS Communications for sending the book to me. This book is a fun read. It starts out a little slow but eventually drew me in. I loved the family dynamics. The two sister/sleuths Kathy and Tina are in pursuit of the killer of their best friends ex-fiancé when she is suspected of being his killer (Lord knows she has good reason for bumping him off, but did she?).

    6. Now this is a unique mystery!! A former nun and her sister get into some serious sleuthing in this series - maybe I connected so much with this book because I could only imagine how my own sister and I would handle each situation. Probably not quite as cool as Kathy and Tina :) This is a really fun read that actually also brings up some real conversation starters that would be great for book clubs.
