  1. I read the English translation of originally Bangala book. The description of life and death is beautiful.Nowhere else I read the description of death in such a beautiful way. Most of times it is depicted as pain, as culmination of suffering. But this writer has depicted it as a natural culmination of life and nothing else.A rare book of its type.

  2. I have been looking for Prof. Nileena Abraham's translation of Arokyaniketan forever. D.C. Books confirmed that they stopped publishing it. What joy it was to find it in a local library!! Jeevan Mashai and the philosophy of birth and death and of all that happens in between- life as we call it -is beautifully intertwined in the narration. It makes you introspect and takes you deeper into the layer of life that we often tend to overlook or choose to forget.
