    1. 3.5 Stare Me Down StarsAries, is sent to anger management and his doctor is Jaxx. He so doesn’t want to be there so he comes up with a tit for tat kind of thing. I love the beginning of this book it was so different fun and fresh. It was funny and awesome all at the same time. He totally set her up I loved it. I enjoyed this book but I didn’t love it, I don’t want to say that but the one character she put a damper on the whole book for me she was just too much. She was Jaxx’s mothers fr [...]

    2. I spent most of the book wanting my therapist to have a talk with the heroine (a therapist) and her best friend/mother figure (also a therapist) about the importance of setting healthy boundaries.I enjoyed the playful beginning, but by the end I was really frustrated with the hero's "don't ask questions, especially don't ask why, what's wrong with you that you don't trust me?" attitude. They'd only been dating a month by the end of the book which made me want to also introduce him to my therapis [...]

    3. OMG, the dual narration on this audiobook was super hotke steaming hot, and very intimate. It took me a while to get used to the intimacy of the dual narration style on this book. It almost felt like intruding on a personal story/conversation. But, with time I got used to it. There were some background noises, at times, but nothing overly disruptive. Some of the sounds such as the gasps, whispering, and moans were a bit over the top, at some parts, but overall the narrators were really good--sup [...]

    4. This is the 2nd book I've read by Ms. Murphy and I was not disappointed. Aries is a Dom who in the beginning is seeing Jaxx (a therapist) because the court says he has anger issues. After his court appointed sessions are over they agree to a little show and tell. I liked Jaxx and Aries a lot together. These two got things pretty hot and I laughed a good amount of times. Aries was like the sweetest Dom I've read. He wasn't the type to be an ass but when he meant serious business, you knew it. The [...]

    5. I've read every book by this author and they get better and better. This one starts out with a fun, fresh twist as Aries Taylor is forced to spend time with Doctor Jaxx Cassidy due to aall altercation. She tries to keep things professional, but he's not having it, and so begins one of my fave scenes in BDSM history, where Aries treats Dr. Jaxx to his travel-case of tricks (the REAL stuff requires and entire playroom). Fun, sexy and satisfying, yet another book for my keeper shelf.

    6. This took me by surprise. A warm, loving BDSM relationship that developed between a Dom and (kinky) vanilla (I know!!) therapist. Very well done. Loved the display of emotions. Hawt sex. No silly misunderstandings or long separations. Two intelligent people with insecurities, yes, but they communicate. No OTT drama. Nicely done!

    7. People gave this book 2 stars?????!!! I don't know what they read, but this was terrific and can only say this author keeps getting better and better. Keep it up Riley, looking forward to the next one!

    8. I have loved every book by Riley Murphy. I bought this the first day it was available on . Like another reviewer mentioned, it started off a little slow, but once I got past the first chapter, it was a fast paced, easy read. The plot was interesting. Ramsey is a business owner who is ordered to take anger management therapy through the court. Jaxx is the therapist assigned to his "group". The first scenes of the book are well into this therapy, and you already sense the attraction they are both [...]

    9. Shadow‘s review posted on Guilty Pleasures Book ReviewsReview copy provided for an honest review.3 STARSThis book has an awesome cover and an interesting premise, but it just doesn’t deliver what you expect. The full first third of the book is focused on therapy sessions between Ramsey “Aries” Taylor and Dr. Jaxx Gavin. Slow doesn’t even begin to describe these sessions, but the book picks up the pace in second half.Aries is a likeable Dom and Jaxx is a smart, strong woman who has over [...]

    10. Lovers of BDSM will love this book. It's brilliant, funny and with a large dose of snark. Aries is a very intelligent Dom forced into counseling where he meets Jaxx. His Psychologist who is attractive and way too interesting. She is a puzzle he can't help but solve. This book does BDSM in a subtle sultry seduction that will please those will knowledge of this type of novel but will certainly pique the interest of the curious. Jaxx is such a likable character. She has confidence issues but with h [...]

    11. I was given an ARC of the 3rd book in this series. I enjoyed it so much, I went back and bought the 1st two books. This book needs some serious editing. This just ruins a book for me. It is very difficult for me to get into a book when I am constantly running in to missed or extra words in a sentence. Totally disrupts the flow. The story was a bit of a disappointment too. It moved a little slow and jumped around.Jaxx is a psychologist who was pretty clueless about herself. Ramsey/Aries is a sort [...]

    12. Stare Me Down by Riley Murphy is not just another BDSM story. It has a great plot with well developed characters. I felt Murphy really explored the feelings and actions of Ramsey and Jaxx and that added a lot of depth to the story. The sex scenes were Hot with a capital H!! I really liked Ramsey's obsession with marking Jaxx. The minor characters were great too and really added to the story. I hope the Viking gets his own story! I really enjoyed this story and would recommend it to anyone. I can [...]

    13. I called this book BDSM lite. The Dom was too easy going and the heroine, for a supposedly smart woman was pretty clueless. Also there was a secondary character that just rang false to me. She seemed more there as a contrivance than an actual character and it personally bothered me. It might not bother someone else but it took away from the book for me.

    14. Excellent book. Smart. Funny. Human. Two people with facades, both stronger than they thought they were. And lucky enough to have discovered that with each other. Yep. Excellent book.

    15. Enjoyed the 'love' story. Tho I wondered where the play was. I mean there were a few good scenes, but not so much BDSM. Now that I think about it, it is the same as the last one I read, Requested Surrender. I do enjoy the mental play but some physical is pretty good too.I gave her a try anyway.

    16. Wow, this author has done it again! These characters reminded me so much of what I loved about one of her other books, Reluctant Surrender!!! What a great read. I devoured it. Smart, funny and emotional. I couldn't put it down.

    17. An okay read, if you just want something to pass the time. Started off quite funny and promising, with witty dialogue between Ramsey and Jaxx. I found the pace to be a bit slow though, thereby not sustaining my piqued initial interest in the novel. would I read another Riley Murphy novel? Probably.

    18. loved Jaxx and Aries so much!!! what a wonderful story and I am looking forward to reading about the rest fo the characters. Great job Riley!!

    19. I couldn't help smiling most of the time I was reading. A wonderful read, loved the charecters, even though we could have moreto read about them.Overall 5stars worth!

    20. really enjoyed this book. thought it was entertaining right from the start. a highly recommend read. I thought Maggie was gonna end up being her mom but looking forward to Maggie and Q's story.

    21. Night Owl Review****4 1/2 stars****Original Review Published here: nightowlreviews/v5/Rev‘Stare Me Down’ is the first book in the Stare Down series by Riley Murphy. Ramsey Taylor, also called Aries, is stuck in anger management classes until the therapist signs off. What is worse is he is attracted to the therapist, Doctor Jaxx Gavin, unforchantly she is vanilla as they come, or is she? When he finds out, she is not as vanilla as he thought. As they try to make a relationship work, they have [...]

    22. I liked the main characters, Ramsey (Aries)and Jaxx, their wit and quirky humor. Maggie was easy to hate, but she was so narrow-minded that it eventually became unbelievable. I wish the author had taken more time to expand on the psyche of the main characters - although she explained it, it was more a matter of tell, not show. The scenes Ramsey staged with Jaxx were scorching, and I loved how it showed his ability to let the situation lead him, and that he didn't feel the need to control every a [...]

    23. Stare Me Down by Riley Murphy was a great book. This book was so much fun to read. Aries is a Dom who is in anger management when he meets Jaxx his therapist. I really enjoyed Jaxx and Aries together, their banter was great. I have really enjoyed reading Riley Murphy's books and can't wait to read more by the author.

    24. Such a touching story. So steamy and just yummy. I loved listening to this story and being immersed into their world. The emotions this story invoked and the real life feel to the story was just amazing. I can't wait to find out what happens next in this series.

    25. Not what I expected since I heard a lot of good things about this author's books. The book was way too long for starters and I didn't buy the heroine being a therapist at all. Maggie was just plain annoying and the conflict she created seemed way too forced. The whole story wasn't very riveting.

    26. I'm usually a huge fan of dual narration audio books. However, this one just didn't do it for me. It was also a bit of a challenge to connect with the characters in the story. I may just go back and read this one again at a later date.

    27. Read sample, didn't buy. The heroine seemed unethical and a bit too much of a twit. Also, I find the word "whore" used during sex to be pretty gross (even though it was a random dream sequence whatever. ew. no.)

    28. Riley remains a go to. Overall enjoyable with a really funny 'sex toy' scene early on. Skimmed a bit in the later half and didn't feel a slam dunk over how the H/h met and the issues both had with their families. Still potential for more stories-hope Gabe's is up next!

    29. Loved it! Great story, I love thrillers with erotica / BDSM thrown in - my two favorite genres. This book will not disappoint, hard to put down once you get started.
