    1. A novella that was originally published as part of the Second Chances anthology, recently released as a solo ebook. L. J. Harris is a good friend, but this didn't impact on how I read the story. I've enjoyed her storytelling for more than 3 years now, and Heart if Glass didn't disappoint me.As someone who doesn't read M/M fiction very often, but I will literally read anything by thus author and get sucked in. She did it again. The novella felt longer than it was, and definitely NOT in a 'oh God, [...]

    2. I loved this story. It's short but sweet and I really wish it could have been longer, going more in depth into the evolution of Heath and Zack's relationship with each other and the building of their new lives.

    3. Loved it! All the feels that I've come to expect from M/M stories. I always find the emotions and relationships just have a much more realistic quality to them for some reason. I don't know why, but women just write a man's emotions so well. Or it could be they write the emotions the way women want them to be. Either way, I love the relationships. This was a great short story. Really good characterizations, and a nice well paced flow to the story line. Not rushed to conclusion at all. All the pie [...]

    4. Heath is in a hard place in life after leaving behind everything he had worked hard to achieve to start his life anew. In a chance meeting with Zach, Heath finds the reassurance that he made the right decision when he decided to embrace his sexuality. But with it comes doubts and hesitations about getting hurt and not being enough for the man he is so attracted to.I loved this story! Both Heath and Zach were lovable characters I could easily see together. Their view in life was different but the [...]

    5. Second Chances ~ An interesting concept to be given to write on. Heart of Glass explored this theme well because the author took a different approach from the usual "person goes through bad break up, but then decides to give their ex another chance;" instead, Harris lets her characters move on. Where other stories take the angle of the "second chance" being a rekindling of old flames, Heart of Glass will pleasantly surprise you with two men who go on to establish better lives and find happiness [...]

    6. 3.5 Told in alternating point of views of Zack and Heath, there were a couple times I had to go back and look to see who’s voice I was reading. I had some questions about this one, mainly why Heath, who was educated, from a good family, would not at least use his skills to get a job away from the life he left. He walked away from it and ended up homeless, but he had to have had something. That point aside, the embracing of his true self, his whole reason for leaving his old life in the first p [...]

    7. What a sweet, sexy little book. For the sake of a challenge, I was looking for a short, enjoyable read that took place in Australia. This book not only satisfied the challenge requirement, but gifted me with a quality read that featured charming MCs and an ending that made me smile. This is a short story about the flush of first love and the healing power of feeling cherished by the one you cherish most. This story has beauty in its simplicity. It proves that a great story has no minimum page req [...]

    8. Ok, just this second realised I never left a review here for such a wonderful book. Initially I bought this as part of the collection it was in, but never managed to get around to reading the book due to other commitments. While traveling on seemingly endless train journeys to visit family, I finally picked this up and from the first word I couldn't put it down.L. J. Harris is a fantastic author, one I will follow with each and every release.

    9. Some find love on the first try and some need a second chance. Heart of Glass is a sweet little tale about second chances but not settling for second best. The story is about two men who make drastic changes in their lives to have the happily ever after. See the entire 4.5 star review at The Novel Approach: thenovelapproachreviews/20

    10. All in all, I found this to be a beautiful story. Yes, I would have liked more showing than telling, but considering how short the story was, I think Ms. Harris did a great job of sharing bits of the past and getting me invested in the characters. Bottom line, I wouldn't mind reading this author again.*I received this book as a prize in the M/M Romance Group 5 Year Anniversary Event.

    11. This was a very easy novella to follow and the characters easy to fall in love with. By definition, it's a short read and yet you learn so much about both the main characters, Zach & Heath, but also the person that has supported both of them, Greta(Heath's support) & Zach's father. For so few pages, this story is well developed, well written, sexy, loving, and fun.

    12. This was a lovely sweet short story that I really enjoyed. Really well written with such loveable characters. fantastic!
