    1. Once again, Mr. Ax has woven a terrific story, continuing the Light Bringer series by expanding that world. It wasn't difficult at all to immerse myself in Sophia's unusual circumstances because frankly, by the end of the first book, Elemental, I couldn't wait to find out more.Sophia, Aiden, Sidney, Zander and the rest of the Elementals never seem to catch a break. One of the things I enjoyed about this book was that nothing is really as it seems—not in real life and not in dreams. There are a [...]

    2. EXCELLENT READ!!!Ashes picks up a few months after ELEMENTAL ends. It fills you in on the going ons, and before the second chapter begins, you are in the middle of an exciting, thrilling and exhilarating ride. Sophia's world had been turned upside down the previous year and now she finds herself out of high school with a steady job, surrounded by her wonderful Elemental friends along with Aiden (sigh Aiden!), no more monsters, and with nightmare-free nights. or so she thinks As soon as she gets [...]

    3. This was a great sequel to a great series. Sophia is a very good heroine, which is saying something considering all of the terrible ones on other novels like this one. She's always willing to help any way she can and because of her, (view spoiler)[the battle is won in the end (hide spoiler)]. I am quite intrigued to find out what happens next, so I will be looking forward to the next installment. There are a few issues, though minor, that I had with the book. For one, like the previous title, the [...]

    4. After reading Elemental I was totally in love with the characters and immersed in the story and anxiously waiting for the second book. After reading the second book all I can think is how excited I am to be able to read the third! The author certainly did not disappoint with the second book at all. All of the things that I loved so much about the first book were just magnified even more in this one.The twist and turns and excitement and danger make this book an edge of your seat read, while the [...]

    5. After reading Elemental I quickly grabbed Ashes up and set about reading it. I wasn't entirely sure what to expect from the second book of this first time author, but it surely did not disappoint! I found the same lovable characters and the same compelling likable voice. The difference was: while Elemental is like driving down a long and winding road with great imagery, Ashes is like being shot out of a cannon. This book grabs your attention and doesn't let go until the end and even then, I'm st [...]

    6. This is book #2 in the series. I really liked this story. The characters were more developed than the first book. The author has so much story to tell, he seems to want it all out at once. Not that that's a bad thing, I'm looking forward to where this series takes me. Now that I've gotten more used to the author's writing style I'm staying in his world more easily. I still believe he would benefit from a good editor, but he is getting better with his work. I recommend this book and can't wait to [...]
