    1. 3.5 StarsI'm a bit confused with myself and what to write about this book. It felt like it took forever to reach the end but at no point did I want to skip, so I'm not sure why exactly it dragged or felt like it was 600 pages long. This is one of those books were not a lot actually happens; I don't even know what to say about it. Yes there was a baddie and secrets, but it was all revealed in a mellow sort of way and I think that's why I'm a bit bewildered (that or I'm slightly high from all the [...]

    2. AJ Myers has created a stunning world in the fictional town of Moonlight, Missouri full of terrifying demons, sexy (and sometimes scary!) vampires, and the fiery Ember Blaylock. The story begins shortly after Ember’s eighteenth birthday. The reader follows her through troubles with her parents, local law enforcement, her stalker ex-boyfriend, and a (did I say sexy?) vampire. Something Witchy is a true paranormal fan’s joy-ride. It is a roller coaster of joy, fear, love, hate, and all those d [...]

    3. First off, I wanted to like this book. I found the plot interesting and up until chapter 4, I could handle almost anything. I loved the idea of a witch as a main character and I am a fan of the first person perspective. Any YA paranormal romance is fine with me, as long as it doesn't get too explicit. So, let's take a look at the negative aspects, section by section.1. The relationships. Whether it be Ember+Nate or Ember+Kim+Blake+Jack or Ember+Tyler-Nate, whatever it is, I have a few problems wi [...]

    4. I had the advantage of seeing this one both before and after the editing process. I am over halfway through the new book and it has blown me away. AJ spins a yarn in this book that is just too good not to read it, but I will warn you that you probably shouldn't start this one on a work night, as you will probably be up until you leave for work the next day. It really grabs you by the tookus and holds on tight as she wrenches your heart this way and that, and sends you on a roller coaster ride wi [...]

    5. I don't normally read YA books, but AJ Myers blew me away with this one. I ADORED the humor, the voice, and the characters in this book. Ember Blaylock is a spunky heroine whose antics made me laugh out loud more than once. There were tender moments that took my breath away, tense moments that had me clinging to my seat, and embarrassing moments that made me cringe with her. All in all, I loved the book. I totally recommend!Watch this author, folks. Considering Something Witchy is her first publ [...]

    6. Ember Blaylock was a well a not so regular 18 yr old High Schooler, she can see and talk to ghost, and she knows things about people. With a Mother and Father who are not really parents she has raised herself and become very self reliant. She has no one to talk to about any of this. Her best friend Kim and her boyfriend Blake are the hottest couple around they have been friends since grade school. Her boyfriend who is not really her boyfriend has now resorted to stalking her. Whenever he gets to [...]

    7. I absolutely love Something Witchy. The plot was well thought out and written. This is not your average witch book where you have clear cut of who is good & evil though you will think that until the twist. I really liked a lot of things about this book. The characters for one I really got a kick out of their back and forth banter with one another. Ember’s situation also brings a lot of emotion into the book. To be born with parents who don’t really care is hard, she’s had to raise hers [...]

    8. Wow! What a great story & great writing! There was so much emotion in this book. I seriously cannot wait to read the 2nd installment! Congrats A.J. Myers! This book is awesome!

    9. Something WitchyEmber is a every day young adult. 18 years old and a senor in high school and her whole life ahead of herself. She has always had a difficult home life. Her parents, were self absorbed in there books, to the point of ignoring Ember. She has always suspected they truly didn't care if she was around or not. Leaving late to school was not helping, the ticket from the cop who hated her was making things very difficult and finally forgetting her homework sealed the deal, she was havin [...]

    10. Wow Something Witchy has climbed the charts to my favorite books. No words can describe how perfect this book was. Believe me this has nothing to do with A.J. Myers being my adopted author. This book was perfect from cover to end. There was absolutely nothing in it I didn't like. It was easy to read, easy to fall in love with the story and the characters. The details and descriptions of what was going on in the story made me imagine it all like as if I was right there watching it happen in front [...]

    11. This was a great, fast read. I love the character of Nathan - he is wonderful. Ember was just a little too clueless all the time. She frustrated me to no end when she refused to figure things out, but she frustrated pretty much everyone with her cluelessness. I am excited to read more books in this series. I am interested to see what the deal with Tyler is. I was afraid of a love triangle sub plot, but Ember seems pretty much set with her soulmate. As for that. I am excited to hear about her pas [...]

    12. An amazing read!Ember is a young woman who is having the worst day ever! But that is all changed when she is kidnapped by a sexy vampire who makes her feel things she has never felt before. On the run from a creepy ex-boyfriend who happens to be a demon now, she has to figure out things for herself before losing herself to destiny. There was a few laugh out loud parts, also a few parts where I wanted to slap Emberbecause she was soooo freaking annoying. But I loved Nate and his mood-swings just be [...]

    13. This was a Kindle book so excuse the use of percentages. The first 20% of this book was amazing. So much so that I told people, "I am reading a fabulous book!"The next 70% was filled with nothing but. "I love you. Go away. I am addicted to you. You suck. I can't live without you. I hate you." with some random "I am not a witch" comments thrown in for variety. The last 10% was disturbing. And this is a spoiler, so only read this section if you think this book is wretchedly bad and don't want to rea [...]

    14. WOW! You know, I pick up a lot of books that are free for a limited time and most are really not that good. This book blew away most of the recent books I've read! I really devoured it quickly and had to force myself to stop reading long enough to go to sleep last night. I read a lot of paranormal romance books and this gave me almost everything I wanted (minus the all out smut). There's a healthy dose of paranormal, some very yummy guys, lots of good story, and no big cliffhanger that drives me [...]

    15. Every now and then a book comes along that's so refreshing, it makes me laugh out loud. This is one of those books.A.J. Myers' writing style reminds me of the three little bears: not too hot, not too cold, just right. Her debut book is impressive; she has a strong grasp on so many writing issues that trip up new authors. Point of view, pacing, characterization, and tone were all spot on, and even the tiny technical errors that usually run rampant in literary debuts these days were few and far be [...]

    16. Meet Ember, a high school senior whose life changes within the blink of an eye. Not only is she stalked by her friend, who turns out to be a demon but meets a vampire, Nathan, who kidnaps her and who she falls in love with and finds out she and her grandmother are witches. She has to fight to get her life back by banishing the demon and allowing herself to be loved by Nathan. It is a fabulous book. The writing is witty and full of humour. Ember's character is just amazing and you can't help but [...]

    17. It has a good story line, BUT I found myself trying to fast forward so the incessant whining and being a smart mouth and all the "snappy" comments of the main character would stop. I've read my fair share of books with an annoying heroine but this is probably the most I annoying thus far. :( I'm really sorry to say that because its a book I'd love to continue on, but couldn't with the sheer patience it took for me to finish it because of Em.

    18. Something Witchy is one of the greatest books I've read. I absolutely love the humor, the characters are awesome and the story is so well written. Ember has such a quick wit about her that you can't help but love her. I laughed so much while reading this book. And Nathan, WOW. This book will take you on a journey through a week from hell for Ember. I loved Something Witchy. I definitely recommend it. I can't wait to read the next book, Something Wicked.

    19. Absolutely WONDERFUL!!!!! The best YA paranormal that I have read in a while. Ember is wonderful lead. She is snarky, sarcastic and not afraid to say what's on her mind.Nathan is so swoon-worthy! SIGH Some of the scenes between the two of them are so very tender and endearing. But I HAVE to know!!! What is up with Tyler????

    20. My main problem with this book was that I didn't like the heroine. First she was not very bright (stupid). Second, she kept swinging back and forth so much in her opinions that I got really tired of her. So this one was a no go for me.

    21. This book was a good easy book. I really liked the character, Ember. In some ways it seemed very cliche with the witch and the vampire falling in love. Therefore, it gets 4 stars from me.

    22. Good bookYou people should just read this novel yourselves and write your own review on this novel. I really enjoyed reading this novel very much so. Shelley MA

    23. I lost interest in this book after around Chapter 10, so for all I know this book may have been awesome and interesting after that. But somehow I feel my life and time is too precious to gamble it on the chance that the rest of this book is better than the crap I've been reading so far.1st - the good points. The style of the author is not bad.The humor is mostly forced & inappropriate for the situation (a la Divinicus Nex ) but okay. Thats it.Now to the bad.Oh god - this has to be one of the [...]

    24. Witches and Vampires and Demons, oh my! Something Witchy has them all and I loved it. I haven't read a vampire book in a long time because I was kind of on vampire overload two years ago. I have been sort of burnt out on them lately, but Something Witchy reminded me how much I used to love them. To be fair, Something Witchy is more of a witch coming of age story than it is a vampire tale. Ember doesn't know she's a witch, and 13`2Q`all of a sudden things start happening. Her long time friend sta [...]

    25. Where should I begin with this? I think I should probably start by saying that I received a copy of this from the author in exchange for a review. What drew me to this book was the snarky humor I could already see shining through simply from the description and the whole thing about the "dead guy" who pretty much ruins Ember's day. It just sounded like a lot of fun.And it wasnd of. For about a quarter or a third of the book, I really enjoyed Ember's snarky attitude. It was funny. Then there was t [...]

    26. Witches, Ghosts, Vampires, and Demons, Oh My! Loved this book - it made my laugh and cry - sometimes on the same page. If you like new adult paranormal romance you will love this story. Now for a little bit about the story: Ember doesn't understand why her mother hates her. She is 18 now and in her senior year of high school and lives with the worst parents, two shrinks who tell others how to care for their children, even though they are horrible at it. She has three best friends: Blake and Kim [...]

    27. I read Something witchy because I had the prequel for free, Eternally, and I actually liked it.But.You can't say the book's awfully bad, but there's the heroin's stubborness. She has a really funny smart mouth, but sometimes she's just yapping too much and is way too immature. She doesn't act. She reacts. She doesn't think a lot. She reacts. And then, there's the hero's lack of communication. Just a few little sentences and their antagonism would have been long deceased ! Of course, being a guy, [...]
