    1. We are Lee and Gary Jordan and are The Phoneix, multi-genre author team. We love thrillers, but we are getting a little weary of the bad guys always being terrorists. Gets old, even though the threat is real. Kind of like the old thrillers were always about the cold war, spies, and the Russians. We read for fun. So how about something different?

    2. I was one of the betas for this book it was an amazing unique story that I really enjoyed Some spot were slow while others will captivate & have you wanting to read more just to see what is next The storyline was excellently written with unexpected twists and ideas that will have any reader enjoy the book. The main characters Peter & Jane as well Wolf & Remy are ones that I really enjoyed. Will edit & revise more once the book is out on Sept 11, 2013 and I revisit (reread) the boo [...]

    3. I was intrigued by this book and it kept me thinking all the way to the end. It did take me awhile to finish it with my busy lifestyle but well worth the time and effort. Looking forward to more.

    4. The Piraes of Vampire Island has been heavily re-written and includes the anticpated sequel. The new book is called Leon's Lair. Phoenix

    5. For some reason, even though the description of the book says the characters were on a "cruise" when they are attacked by Leon and his goons, I went into it thinking it was going to be a historical or regency type thing. You know- *makes sword motion with hand* - Pirates. But It was cool that is was a more recent setting. I mean, they are on a cruise ship. You fill in the timeline yourself. The story focuses on a bunch of different characters and a bunch of different viewpoints. And I mean a BUN [...]

    6. Leon is a vampire. His people became what they are because of infected bats. As any other vampires, they need blood to survive but they need the blood of a woman while having sex to get special power. Leon is also a pirate. His people attack boats for the money and cruise ships for women. The story is in two parts. Although both were captivating, I preferred the second one because a large part of the first is about survival on the sea, which I did not really expect. Still, the authors had to do [...]

    7. I am really on the fence about rating this book. For now I will give it 3 stars. Part of the time I liked it, other times I just wanted to stop reading it and other times I loved it. It was truly a roller coaster ride. To me this really felt like two books put together. It was very long and at times I think there was way too much description and going to too many pov's it was hard to keep up with who was who once part 2 started. I never really felt the connection between Peter and Jane. However [...]

    8. I received this book as a gift from the author, Phoenix. I have not read a vampire book in a long while, so if I had not received it as a gift, I may never have given it a second look. From the very first this book was interesting. There are so many aspects to this story. It is not just a vampire book. There are wizards, real and false vampires (you need to read the book to find out the difference.)Phoenix takes you on a journey all over the world. Unlike some books where the descriptions of loc [...]

    9. This book was OK, defiantly something you need to be committed to finishing. I found at times it got very boring and I struggled to stay on task, however their were parts where I couldn't put it down!! If you enjoy vampire love stories this a book for you! It was a interesting twist the whole vampire thing. I enjoyed and would recommend it any one who enjoys a good long read careful though, this book weighs a bit and I often suffered from my arm falling asleep while reading.

    10. I could not put this book down and I didn't want to because it is just so good and it made me stay up way past my bedtime just because i couldn't stop reading to see what will happen next. It is very well written and I know I will be reading this one again in the future .I highly recommend this book .

    11. Great storyhighly would recommend this story. Great plot and riveting until the end. Great stand alone with no sequel to purchase
