    1. The Gods Within Series captured my attention with book one. I loved the character of Rat and have enjoyed watching him grown into a man, and discover his true identity. I think this is my favorite book of the series, although I really loved book one. In this book, The Name of the Sword, the reader rides along as the main character attempts to learn his true name. 2. Since the whole series was not published when I started reading these, it made it a little difficult to maintain the flow and keep characters straight.
