    1. “I suppose I should wait and do this privately,” he said in a voice that carried out over the heads of the spectators. “Or at least until I’ve spoken to your brother. But I will have no rumors or talk about us. Amanda Fleming, I love you with all my heart. Will you marry me?”A love he prayed he would deserve answered in her eyes, giving them a brilliance that was almost blinding. She placed her beloved hands on either side of his face. “Of course,” she said in a much softer voice. [...]

    2. Karen Hall's One Horse Open Sleigh Race was a fun, Christmas-y read. Lord Cameron is in need of a new priest for his local parish and hires Stephen for the position. Stephen's twin sister, Amanda, accompanies Stephen to his new home. While walking her dog at night, Amanda meets Lord Cameron. Her dog, chasing after a rabbit, causes Cam to lose control of his mount and the Lord ends up in the mud. From there, Amanda's other encounters with Cam play out just as badly, which is exactly what he needs [...]

    3. (Jan) Meh. Cute, sweet, completely sexless (not even a lascivious thought or come-hither look passes between the H/h other than one almost kiss, which is the sum total of the action provided in this book). He's an earl who wants to marry, has a perfect lady in mind, plans to pop the question. She's the outspoken twin sister of a perfectly nice clergyman who has taken the job of being the new pastor at the local church. Amanda (h) befriends the Earl's sister, who is perfectly charming and sweet. [...]

    4. Romanceduring Christmas London in the 1890s. That's so ideal andwellmantic. I love how it is all about the unconventional in this book, from Cameron St. Cloud not marrying until 30, to both Amanda and her friend/Cam's sister saying phrases no woman dare utter during that time. What I loved best as the book unfolds is how Cam's heartbeats spoke "Amanda".
