    1. I love this series so I am bummed to say I was really disappointed in this book. It was so slow and boring that I had to force myself to pick it up. Usually it's the opposite. The last 10 pages made the previous 194 worth agonizing over though. The ending made me excited to read #7 when it comes out.

    2. Yeah this one was bad. I decided after this book to just stop the series. The repetitiveness and the utter stupidity of the main character just got on my last nerves. The last book was fairly short and this one was longer, but honestly the author could have cut out a lot of scenes and I would have been okay with that "No Quest for the Wicked" we have Owen getting used a world in which he no longer has magic. Katie is bored just working in sales now as an immune. When Owen and Katie are given a t [...]

    3. While I did really enjoy this book, it wasn't as enjoyable for me to read as were a few of the earlier books in this series. By the time I finished it, I actually felt sort of burned out. (And no, my feelings are in no way affected by my having finished the wonderfulness that is The Others/The Meg shortly before starting this book.) Why you ask? Well, I'll get to that. . .We open in New York, where Katie is trying to surprise Owen with breakfast in the manuscript room at work. The surprise sort [...]

    4. Part Mission Impossible, part Lord of the Rings, No Quest for the Wicked takes our heroes on a hectic search through NYC. Their goal is to recover a powerful jewel before it falls into the wrong hands. Unfortunately, it's the sort of piece that gives even the well-intentioned a hankering for world domination. In these last two books Swendson has moved away from larger story arcs, instead letting her characters' evolution become the running thread. I prefer this, as I've always felt Katie and Owen [...]

    5. So excited to start this right now!!!! THANK YOU SHANNA!! This is my all time Favorite series! I really hope book 6 isn't the end! Review to come, in a day or two. it won't take long! LOVE THIS SERIES!JUST FINISHED THE BOOK!!IT. WAS. AWESOME! Really exciting twist!! I can't wait for book 7! This is such an original series. I love everything about it. Some old characters returned and some new ones were introduced. I always feel like i'm going to give something away in my reviews, so I try to be v [...]

    6. It was a smart decision to bring Mimi back, although the resolution of that was highly unsatisfying. I don't know what I think about the ending of the book, but I'll power on and read the next one.

    7. When I read the first book in the Enchanted Inc. series, I was immediately addicted. It was the same with the second, third and fourth book. After that, I thought the series was finished. You can imagine my surprise when I found out a few months ago, that there were going to be a fifth and a sixth book. Unfortunately the fifth book wasn’t as great as its prequels and the sixth book was even worse. Now that MSI defeated Spellworks and they have no other companies to compete with, Katie doesn’ [...]

    8. I couldn't decide whether to go with the 3 that I thought this book was or give it a 4 because I love the series so much and am interested to see where the twist at the end of this one takes the series. Owen and Katie are back doing what they do best, working together to save the world from magical mayhem. Where this book suffered for me was that the entire thing takes place in one day. We miss out on seeing many of the supporting characters that I love because Katie never goes home or has any i [...]

    9. At some points it was getting too much. the situation was crazy as hell. I am not sure how I feel about the ending, but what enjoyed about this book was Owen's protectiveness. he had a "dont you dare touch my girlfriend " approach that I found adorable. Yet I will enjoy the last book more if finally people drop the stupidity about Owen being bad when for the last six books he obviously saves the world.

    10. Love this series so much! This book was so much fun! Love the building relationship between Katie and Owen. Loved getting to know grandma more!

    11. 2.5 This book had a significant weak spot. Parts of it were far too long and redundant yet the ending was pretty cool. I hope the seventh one doesn't crawl along like this one.

    12. As a disclaimer I am reviewing the whole series (8 books) in this review because I read them all within a week, so while they are their own separate thing, I really view them as just one whole. I will likely cut and paste this review into each books review spot, with perhaps a comment or two about the individual book itself. That said, I really enjoyed this book, and this whole series. It was a bizarre modern magical romp through New York (and occasionally Texas). I really appreciated the corpor [...]

    13. I've been disappointed slightly in the past as Katie Chandler held back vital information due to her insecurity (#2 & #3), but this story is by far the worst of the series. If you like chase scenes that never end, you'll love this book. Otherwise, it takes way too long to get to the obvious conclusion. The final impact on Owen is no surprise. The impact on Katie is only slightly surprising. If you want to skip this book, I'll provide a brief synopsis in my Spoiler Alert.(view spoiler)[Katie [...]

    14. What a let down after the last book in the series. Although there was a lot of action (read, running around to avoid the bad guys), it was a lot like the fight scene in the Matrix that went on for so long I was shouting (in my head) 'enough already, this is getting boring.' That's how all the running around felt; it was just repetitiveness that made the book longer but didn't add much to the story. I loved Granny and the addition of Thor and the elves was good. Mimi, as always is a great bad guy [...]

    15. At the end of Book 5, I felt like Swendson's series was over. Her story was ended. The bad guys were vanquished. But she kept going. She should not have. This installment was tedious. Basically, they are trying to get a magic piece of jewelry. They get it. People and creatures chase them. They lose it. They chase people and creatures. They get it back. People and creatures chase them. Wash, rinse, repeat for endless pages. I'll probably read the rest just to see if she found another story. Hopef [...]

    16. Didn't like this book as much as the rest of the series. Maybe the author tried to hard to create action and a thrilling read but it turned out rushed and confusing with way too many characters It started boring me towards the middle and I had to force myself a little to finish it.The ending was good though. But I always kinda expected it to happen.Still I'm starting book 7 now I'm obsessed with the magical New York and Owen Palmer.

    17. At last a showdown with Mimi! Even though this basically takes place in 24 hours, it's a fun read and does further the story along. The ending is especially good. Looking forward to the next book to see how things shape up for Owen and Katie.

    18. I love these books so much. They are funny and light. I sat down and read 50% of the book last night, after putting my kids in bed. They're quick, witty, and got me hooked from the first book, Enchanted, inc.

    19. I really have enjoyed this series but this one was dull. The book took 3x as long to tell the story than it needed to. The beginning and end was cute. Middle dull. That being said the series is still cute and I'll read the next one. It wasn't bad just 'ehhh'. And as always clean and sweet

    20. I love this series, and I liked this book, but the race for the brooch just went on and on too long. Otherwise, it was very enjoyable - delightful characters as usual!

    21. I love the story and how it continually changes without becoming silly. The characters are continually changing from book to book. It keeps it interesting.

    22. I knew it was going to be hilarious when the synopsis said that grandmother was showing up and it did not disappoint.

    23. Not as good as previous booksUgh. I love the previous books of this series, but this one is just boring. The pacing is all off, and I found I just didn't care.

    24. As the series continues, S. Swendson keeps things fresh and interesting. The storyline was good , but I will say I could have used a little more separation in events as the main characters rolled through the city on their journey to the plot climax. I do like this series and plan to eventually read other works by this author.

    25. This book was easily the worst of the series. The whole book took place in one day, so there was no character development. It was also boring, and I found myself flipping pages to get to the end. So disappointing! But the ending has an interesting twist, so onto the next one!

    27. 2 StarsNo Quest for the Wicked failed to live up to my expectations. There are a few reasons for this disappointment. First, I had been reading this series one book per day for six days now. Since they are so short, this was easy to do. But by day six, I was a little tired of my binge reading. The stories were starting to feel similar and the series failed to grow as I'd expected. It started to feel stagnant. Second, No Quest for the Wicked followed up Much Ado About Magic which was definitely a [...]
