    1. This , was recommended to ,me, by a cousin. and it didn't disappoint. Though only a slim book, it is scary, Emma and John (not their real names,) move into a terraced house in Wales, it looked a normal house, and even though the owner dropped twenty thousand off the original price, and couldn't wait to get rid of it, they thought nothing of it, but they should of.First it was little things, catching a shadow out of the corner of the eye, things being moved, then , the footsteps, oh God the foots [...]

    2. I decided to read this because my boyfriend knows the author and assured me it was a nice little read. I have to say, it scared me! I was scared in the beginning before hardly anything had happened, let alone the rest! I was disappointed by the ending, but this is a true story so it couldn't have been written any other way. Not only did I enjoy the transcripts of what happened but I enjoyed how it was written, even though I'll be sleeping with my light on this evening, it was worth it!

    3. I was so enjoying this quick read. It is easy to understand and spooky. That is until Sarah (the female protagonist) goes into cold bitch mode then I spent the remainder of the story hating her worse and worse. She totally knocked this story down a star cuz she turns my enjoyable creepy feelings into just being pissed off. But outstanding story telling Mr. Davies

    4. A good book but full or grammar errors and typos. I love a good haunting read but this seemed a bit far fetched in some parts. It wasn't as scary as I hoped but this could be down to the grammar distracting the story, I also, found the story to be one sided; his view, though I couldn't warm to her by the end of the book, makes me wonder if she played a part in it all to get rid of him.

    5. Often wonder why people stay in houses with an atmosphere, then I remember Grandma who lived in a terraced house in Leicester which had an atmosphere of it's own. The family moved in in 1940 and we went to live with her in 1985, finally leaving in 1989.Spooky story but no pictures which would have added to the story.

    6. A well written and engaging read. It actually made me not want to turn off the light before bed. More subtle than the brutal Ghost sex: The violation but it's the fact that you are brought into a very private and personal world that makes it so much more compelling. I would love to see this made into a movie as it would be about people and how they are effected and not CGI ghosts and monsters. Good luck trying to sleep after this one. Great read.

    7. 4-starsThis was a fantastic short story. And by "fantastic" I mean it's the PERFECT book to spook you at 3AM. You know when you have to remind yourself you don't believe in demons and devils and ghosts and whatnot, it got ya. It sure got me.

    8. Good bookI really enjoyed this book. I believe every word of it. The only critique I have is there was no proofreading done. For this reason it was very difficult to read. If you publish another book would love to read it, but please have a proofreader have a go at it first.

    9. Loved this book, was short but straight to the point, very well written and made even better as it's a true story and based 5mins away from where I live. Not usually into horror or paranormal books but really enjoyed this. Look forward to more from this author!! x

    10. Totally chilling. Real accounts from victims of a haunted house. If you scare easily do not read this at night!!5 stars!!

    11. Good read, interesting to see what people have been through, and it was nice that the author decided to let the reader make up their own mind, and not push them into a corner.

    12. Loved itI really enjoyed reading this book,I believe in the paranormal, and this is just another example of life after death. Awesome!!!!

    13. This purports to be a true story of the most terrifying kind. It didn't terrify me, but it was interesting. The story of the haunting itself lead me shout "don't these people have satellite TV" ( and yes they did- it's part of the story), a ten minute cruise through satellite channels would bring up half a dozen or so true life Ghost hunting shows that would a) give them ideas how to sort it out (they didn't seem to have a clue), and b) show them that things could be much worse!Don't get me wron [...]

    14. I enjoyed the feel of this book and how the story was told through the words and memories of the couple involved. The author did a great job of investigating and tracking down the right people to speak to and I enjoyed the research that went into the book about the location. I know the author is very open about keeping the details of location and identities of those involved a secret and that is to be respected. I was saddened to hear how the owner of the house moved on, by not telling anyone wh [...]

    15. Short and honest readThis was an unusual way to tell the story but I rather enjoyed hearing one person's comments followed immediately by the other people involved. I found the tale to be simply stated, not sensationally presented and believable by virtue of it's understatement. Someday when I write my stories down I hope to write them as clearly and as credibly.

    16. The author's approach to this book is one that I wish other paranormal investigators would take, one of both skepticism and open mindedness. I am personally one who tends to believe in paranormal phenomenon, including haunted houses, although I have never had any personal experiences to really develop a firm belief. This book is both entertaining and thought provoking regardless of what you believe about the paranormal.Pembrokeshire is a fascinating region of Wales in general, and had a reputati [...]

    17. Be aware: This is a NOVELI state that outright because I was not aware of it until I noticed the word "novel" while skimming the closing credits of the book. After reviewing the original description, it does state that it is a novel, but only once and I missed it, so I read this thinking it was factual. For me, that changes reading perspective. So be aware. The story is well written, gripping, the events harrowing and very frightening. The author's use of transcripts interspersed with author note [...]

    18. Wow! What an wonderful book! I absolutely could not put it down. Of course, a ton of book reviewers say they couldn't put this or that book down (and although I rarely find that I really have all that much trouble to put a lot of books down), A Most Haunted House, by G.L. Davies, was definitely one of those rare instances where my eyes were absolutely, totally and completely riveted to the printed page from beginning to end. There are no chapters to speak of in the book, and the author really onl [...]

    19. Another read on audiobook and, sadly, the terrible narration made for some awkward and difficult reading of what was essentially a transcript. The story itself presents really interesting scenarios based on accounts by a young couple, who claim to have been plagued by evil spirits in a house they bought in Wales. This makes for a quick and quite scary read - but there is much more to the story and I did feel quite disappointed with the lack of investigation results or even theories. I do, however [...]

    20. This book is quite short so I read it in one evening, but I thoroughly enjoyed what I felt to be an honest and genuine account of a haunting. I liked that the author organised the two separate interviews into a chronological order so that both ran alongside each other in small segments. There were a few small editorial errors but nothing that subtracted from the writing or caused any annoyance. There were a couple of hair-raising moments that made feel quite creeped out! This is definitely a tru [...]

    21. Matter of Fact Approach to a Frightening ExperienceThis non-fiction story is interesting. The way the author presents the case and the personal accounts without typical paranormal hype and melodrama is very refreshing. Fast, enjoyable read.

    22. Very short, but very effective book. I was quite scared while I read it, and my heart went out to "john", who seemed to suffer from the effects of the house. One word of warning, it scared me and I started reading late at night, which I wish I had not done.

    23. A haunting tale told by those whom experienced it.This book takes less than an hour and a half to read. The author has the people whom experience the haunting tell it in there own words. I did enjoy going back and forth with the people telling it in their own words.

    24. Fast and interestingGood, quick read. This is an account from victims of a haunting, with no embellishments at all. Not necessarily a "ghost story", but rather a forthright retelling of events that makes you think.

    25. Not really impressed. Not really impressed seemed it was more about their relationship than what happened. I wasn't that impressed. it wasn't scary at all.

    26. Interesting storyI enjoyed this story. It was very believable. The style of writing by the author in publishing the interviews with those involved gives you insight into how they were really affected by the haunting.

    27. terrible!I can't believe I wasted my time reading this terribly boring book. The way it was written, going back and forth between the two people. Basically repeating the same account was ineffective and repetitive. Ugh! No wonder it was free

    28. Intense, thought-provoking, and compellingThis book merits all 5 stars. I am a big fan of "true" stories of hauntings, and like the show "A Haunting", this book gets straight to the point, and stays there. I look forward to reading more from this author. Can't wait!

    29. Had almost nothing to do with being a "ghost" story and was mainly about what a b**ch Sarah was as far as I could tell. Hard to enjoy a scary story when it drags on so much and I keep hoping the ghost will push her down the stairs.

    30. Scary as heckWell written ans believable. I have had unexplained phenomenon and activities in my house. Myself and visitors have had experiences .
